Bab 178: Butterfly Flutters

[Johan's POV]

"Raise your hands higher!"

Johan lifted both arms and stretched them out like an eagle whilst he kneeled on the table salt his grandfather whisked on his bedroom floor. He should have seen it coming. The way he misbehaved like a spoiled brat earlier was bound for a punishment.

"Thirty minutes, Johan," his grandfather said. "Just because you have the life of ease doesn't mean you can just act up like that. That's not how I raised you. Kneel down and repent for thirty minutes, then you can come down to eat the coconut the boy got for you. Make sure to apologize to the boy the next time you see him. Understood?"

"Yes, Sir."

Don Juanico gave him a warning look, matched with a point of his index finger before he swiveled and marched out of the room, leaving Johan facing the wall. The door clicked shut, and the echo of his grandfather's footsteps faded out.
