Bab 13: Chapter 13

As soon as Clove had left the room, Lysandra turned to Cale. "Who was that? Your girlfriend?" she asked.

Cale snorted. "No. She's my sister." His eyes followed the line of her hair, the top of her head, as though he could still see the traces of memories underneath.

"Oh," Lysandra answered. That explained why they looked so much alike. She didn't say so. "What's the deal with her?"

"She's just curious. Asks a hell of a lot of questions." Cale's eyes narrowed. "She has the right to."

"I'd say I have the right to, as well," Lysandra countered. "You should take better care of her, instead of just blowing her off."

"She knows not to come in here while I'm working," Cale snapped. He took a deep breath, strode to the window and looked outside. "Yeah, it's getting late. Maybe you should go," he said.
