Bab 90: A few lies

Somehow, by a kind of miracle, Lai Yiteng slept in the next day.

The way he woke up was not the best though. It was with a start, his breathing sharp and rushed.

His eyes were peeled wide as he glanced around the room, but Xian Wu was nowhere to be found and had surely made his way back to those dreadfully dull conferences again. The reason he'd woken up to suddenly, however, was because he'd heard a noise. This was the worst possible way for him to awaken from sleep.

Once again, a faint voice called in at the door, and there was the sound of a person knocking.

Lai Yiteng hurried to wear more layers of clothes. Without a high collar on his undershirt and long arm coverings his scales would be seen.
