My heart skips a beat, knowing all too well how easy it is for him to slip past people unnoticed. It's truly a talent. My parents go to step forward but I quickly lift my hand up to stop them. I see Titus tied up in a chair, seething with rage, and feel like slapping myself. I should have known something was wrong when I didn't see him... I look Kalen over and say "Kalen... No. The cookies weren't made by me. What are you doing in my house?" 

Kalen finishes the cookie before brushing his hands off and saying "Funny you should ask. My intel told me about Silas's plans so I gathered my own men and came to help. Imagine my surprise when I saw how unneeded I was."
