Bab 81: Chapter 79
Ok so I'm doing something I never thought I would do, playing Shogi with a king. He's not very good, he's lost all the games so far, but he has tenacity. But then I have a similar strange feeling, but no pulling. "That's weird, I feel there's something wrong, but it's not pulling me." I whisper to myself. I don't know what to do. "Is something wrong Scarlet?" The king asked, looking up from the board. I look at him and decide to tell a sort of lie. "I have a passive magic that detects abnormalities, and it's just detected one." I say, with a look to Ruby.
Ruby nods and goes to grab Velvet and Yang. "Can we come?" Touya asked, looking a bit scared. "Are you sure? We don't know what will come out." I say truthfully, and she just nods. "Ok then, once Ruby, Velvet and Yang get here, we'll leave. But if it's dangerous, take Yumina and run, understood." I say, with a stern expression. Again she nods, and we don't have to wait long before the girls arrives. I teleport us to the distortion.
This is not a normal distortion, it's not summoning anything. "It could be the Phrase." Velvet said, looking at it. "I sealed my memory of the story, but isn't it a bit too early for them?" I ask, whispering in her ear. "Yes, but Touya wasn't female in the original ether, right." She replied, whispering. Touché I think to myself, grabbing my weapon from my storage space. "You have to teach us that." Velvet said, looking at me with envy. I nod and concentrate on the distortion, as it cracks open. Ten spider like crystal beasts comes out, they have two red orbs inside them.
"Touya, you've fought one of these before, right?" Velvet asked, looking over. "We only just beat one, and it was smaller then these ones." She said, looking a bit off. "Run, we've got this. Ruby, me and you have three each. Velvet and Yang, you've got two each." I shout, and get confirmation from the girls. "Let's do this." Yang shouts, jumping towards the first Phrase. "Yang, destroy the red orb inside it." Velvet shouts to the blonde, who starts punching it. She sighs, and summons a massive axe.
"Ruby, do as Velvet said, attack the red orbs." I say, using the switch on my gun, and putting it to Power of Destruction mode. "Let's see if you can cope with this." I shout, shooting one of its cores. As soon as it hits, the core shatters. I shoot three more times, and that's all she wrote for them. I bring out a chair and my guitar, and start playing. Of course I'm playing red like roses, and I can hear Ruby singing along while killing her Phrase.
Ruby finished next, and sat next to me, grabbing her guitar, and starts playing as well. Next to finish was Velvet, who was started walking towards us. "Your still obsessed with that song then? Does Ruby know what it's about?" She asked, looking at us. "Yep." Ruby said, popping the p. "And you still sing it?" Velvet asked, with a surprised expression. "Why not? It's just a song." She replied, shrugging. "Why is Yang taking so long?" I ask, trying to change the subject.
"She's just playing, look." She said, pointing to Yang. "She is just hitting it, and letting it regenerate." Velvet started to sigh. "Touya, this might take some time, go tell the king everything is sorted, and head home. We'll meet up ether when we get back or tomorrow." I say, looking towards the still shocked Touya and Yumina. They nod and Touya opens a Gate, and they leave.
While we wait for Yang to get bored, we talk about things. "So are you going to teach me that spell now?" Velvet asked, looking at me. "Oh come on it's not a hard one, you can make one. You are the goddess of magic." I exclaim exasperated. "Oh yeah, why didn't I think of that." She said, blushing in embarrassment. "I think Yang's been a bad influence on her." Ruby said, nodding sagely.
"That's not nice little sister." Yang said, getting Ruby into a headlock. "I'm the older one now." Ruby said, lifting Yang off the ground. "You're still my baby sister." Yang said, laughing. Then they start fighting, I still don't understand how it looks exactly the same as the show. "Come on let's…" I start, then trail off, another massive distortion is coming. This time the pulling feeling was so strong, I thought something was going to be pulled out my body.
"There's a big one coming." I say, looking around but I can't find it. Immediately Ruby stops and walks towards me. "Where is it?" Ruby asked, looking around. When I couldn't find it, I looked up and saw a massive distortion. I tap Ruby on the shoulder and point up.
