Bab 6: Rias’ POV
Four years ago, my sister changed. She kept talking about how we should train and get stronger, but when I asked why, all she would say is. "Why not, it's better then being weak." We are high-class devils why would we need to train, we are the apex that all devils strive to be.
At the evil pieces ceremony I got a mutation piece, I was so happy but then Scarlet got thirteen mutation pieces. Why did she get so many, was it because she was training everyday? My own hubris as a high-class devil has made me weak, I need to stop my way of thinking. When we got home dad wanted to talk to us, so we followed him to the study. He was talking about who was going to be head of the family and to my surprise Scarlet put my name forth.
And dad went on, something about an arranged marriage but I was too lost in my thoughts to comprehend. Why would Scarlet not want to be head of the family, she is stronger than me. Then she grabbed my hand leading me out of the room, she asked if I studied strategies, I said no. And so we left for the library and I was trying to find a good way to ask about training with her.
3 days later*
Scarlet was late, I was thinking what kept her when I heard a knock. I look up from the book I was reading and Scarlet enters and starts talking about a training regime, I was happy knowing my sister was thinking of me. Then my heart sank when she told me she was leaving for a couple of years, but I'm now determined that when she comes back I'll be a lot stronger.
