Bab 39: Chapter 37- Aleina wants to know!

Her face turned pale and the look in her eyes was that as if she had lost all hope. 

The Anniversary celebration party yesterday was supposed to be the start of a new and happy journey. But since that disastrous night, Maria has been receiving bad news again and again.

So, it was only reasonable that Maria was despaired after hearing another traumatizing news.

With her eyes full of sorrow, she hopelessly started saying-

"You were adamant on not accepting any shady deals such as this earlier. It will be a terrible blow to the Roberts' reputation if the word got out that we are dealing with gangsters now."

With tears escaping her eyes, she stood up gathering the little strength that she had and grabbed Edward by his arms as she started wailing-

"I can't let you do this Ed… You took pride in the clean reputation that our family had so far."

With tears of sorrow shedding on her soft skin, she looked into Edwards determined eyes mistily.
