Bab 124: Don't get lost

The auction proceeded. After a dozen humans were bought and sold, they moved on to show exotic beasts. Zhang Wang alarmed turned to Su Zui and hissed, "That wouldn't be the last of the prisoners, right? My friend wasn't among them."

"That is not something that I'm aware of…" the snake demon admitted with a low voice. A few heads turned their way, effectively silencing their conversation.

Zhang Wang inwardly cursed and realized they might have to make a move sooner than later. First and foremost, he needed to free the prisoners and probably needed to do that quietly. There were also the strange spectators that watched from the backmost balcony. 

The Immortal of a thousand Blossoms tapped his two companions on the back of their heels with his cane. "I'm going to move out," he said.

"Why?" Yu Yanlin kept his voice low and even but Zhang Wang noticed how quick he was to respond.
