The quiet sounds of someone stirring from their bed emerged from the room that was locked away in front of me. I feel so stupid, but I can't really do anything about this. I can't silence my mind, nor can I act as if this isn't going to be an issue.

I heard the sound of someone in shoes walking towards the door from the other side. I braced myself for whatever I would see, but before that I heard a woman's voice.

"Tael-san? It's… really early. Is everything alright?" Erana asked. Her soft and gentle voice was surprisingly soothing to hear. I won't deny that I felt at ease when it reached my ears, as if it was giving me a soft hug and saying that everything would be okay.
