I leaned back on my bed and stared at the ceiling for an uncomfortable amount of time.
…
He's been gone for a while now. Onii-san and Erana haven't left their rooms for this entire time, so I bet that they're still in a bad mood.
...He did ask me to check up on Erana though.
I slowly leaned upwards from the bed and looked out the window. The summer light poured through the glass while I hated every second of heat that entered my room. We have these weird devices that Onii-san insisted on getting called "Air Conditioners" which use the residual mana in the air to cool the environment, but despite those it's still hotter than it would normally be.
I may as well be productive.
With a nimble hop, I landed gracefully on the wooden floor of my room. I turned towards my stuffed animal collection, picked up Whiskers-san, and gave him a big hug before I returned him to his spot.
I guess this is my writing style. In the beginning of volumes go slice of life and then by the end of it it's balls to the wall nuts crazy stuff. Maybe it's just a pattern? Anywho, I wanted a chapter that shows how Erana has been affected as well, and what better way to do that than by having Kany be the one to observe it?
Catch you on the flip side!
