Bab 239: This Hero Versus The Demon King’s Army!
I began to ascend with Erana on my back. The army came into view after a few moments. I could feel Erana shudder for a moment before she quelled her feelings and steeled herself for what would come.
It's strange. I don't feel nervous at all anymore.
Is this because of how strong I've become? Maybe my mind just hasn't truly realized the depth of the situation I'm in.
Could it possibly be because Erana is on my back? Do I have this instinctual desire to protect someone driving me forward? I've heard of the concept of fathers fighting for their children and how it nullifies the feeling of fear, so could I be experiencing something similar?
Well, it's not as if I think of Erana like she's my kid. I think quite the opposite actually. I really just-
"Kenji-san?" Erana whispered in my ear.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Are we going to be okay?"

Person_man Insert the Micheal Scott gif where he's like "OH MY GOD IT'S HAPPENING!" here. Yeah, Kenji and crew busted through this totally the army pretty quickly. I haven't introduced higher level mook monsters yet, but maybe that was intentional?
Oh yeah. The Hell Guardian is here by the way. We're in the endgame.
