Bab 295: You Didn't Actually Answer My Question

"Are you feeling any better now?" Finn asked hesitantly.

Carmen sighed. "A little. I'm glad I got that off my chest. Thanks for making me talk. You promise you aren't mad at me?"

"The only thing I was mad about was not knowing what was going on after getting the worst phone call of my entire life. I was so scared of losing you, Carmen. I can handle anything in the world but that."

She snuggled closer to him and his arms tightened around her. He truly didn't need anything in this world to be happy aside from having her around. The only goals he had for himself after getting out of the Agency involved her.

"I love you, Finn," she whispered.

A little jolt went through Finn because she had never said that before. He was already fairly certain he loved her based on every definition he had looked up after their conversation with Alex a few months ago but he hadn't known how to say it.

He meant it when he replied, "I love you too."
