Bab 201: Furniture Shopping

The FBI had resumed their stakeout the following morning by the time Claire needed to go meet with the person renting out the house. No rental agency would accept the terms they needed so she had been forced to go through individual landlords. 

At least she was able to leave the house alone for this appointment because Alex had a series of job interviews set up throughout the day. The FBI wouldn't suspect a thing if he continued coming and going through the back door. She left the sliding glass door key with him for that exact purpose. 

As she made her way out to Topsfield she kept an eye out to see if they were following her but it seemed that they had stayed back at the house after all, assuming she wouldn't be gone long. She could use this to her advantage. 

In the past, aside from going to work, she was never gone more than an hour or two on her errands. Maybe she should try to stay out all day on purpose to annoy them.
