Bab 88: The symposium 2

When Blind sat in front of the man known as the 'Boss' to report on the latest happenings in the town, she clasped her shaken hands under the table. The man saw this moved and chuckled.

After taking a relaxed bath, his face had gained a little colour and he looked normal with the exception of the scorpion that ran from his left arm straight to his neck. His aura was still intimidating as his gaze was piercing and unreadable. It was like he had long learnt how to conceal his emotions very well. Maybe the years had made a number on him because even though his face and physique looked youthful, one could tell that he was quite older than he looked.

''You are afraid. Tell me, what did you do wrong?'' he asked her. Her demeanour was unlike the confident woman who always appeared composed in front of other people. under the gaze of the 'Boss', she had become like a timid servant waiting on his king.
