Scarlet held the phone far away from her ear as soon as her mother screamed. She cussed as she lifted the cup of coffee to drink. This was already the fifth time her mother had called her to pressure her to go on a blind date. She thought moving to stay with Rosa would make her parents stop but they had only become more tenacious.
