Luna's school in an international school for rich kids. The car arrived just in time for school to let out and Jiang Xi saw Luna exit the school gate with two other children, one of whom she recognized as the child actor Dong Feng, the oldest amongst the three.
Seeing Jiang Xi, Luna became excited and ran towards her, hugging her legs.
"Mama," said Luna. "You came to get Luna. Luna is so happy."
"So this is your mother, Luna?" the girl asked.
"Clara jie-jie, Feng-gege, this is Luna's mama."
"Hello," the two children greeted.
"I'm glade you got your mama back Luna, congratulations," said Clara.
Jiang Xi noticed the strange tone of the child and observed the way Luna and Dong Feng looked at Clara with worry.
"Jie-jie… do you want to come and stay at my house? Grandpa must be busy right? You come and stay with me, okay?" Luna seemed to be pleading the older girl, making a face.
"No, your mama just came back, I-"
"No! Luna has decided, jie-jie will sleep over with Luna today and we'll bake cookies tonight! It's decided." She turned to Dong Feng. "Feng-gege look forward to our cookies!"
Dong Feng's darkened for a moment before he smoothed it over and nodded. "Um," he replied. "The two of you don't stay up too late, brother will go first and meet you tomorrow."
The group bid goodbye to Dong Feng, who was in a hurry to go to shooting. After that, Luna dragged Clara into the car with her, telling Clara's driver that she's taking Clara away and have him deliver Clara's clothes and supplies to their condo.
"Mama, do you know how to make cookies?" Luna questioned.
"Hm? Luna doesn't know?" Jiang Xi questioned.
"Luna has never done it."
Yun Jing chuckled and commented, "It's useless. Neither father nor daughter knows how to cook. The fridge at home is filled with take outs, junk food, and quick grabs." Hearing this, the flames in Jiang Xi's eyes were lit. "My lady, I suggest you start setting your family's dietry."
"Of course! I can't continue to let them eat those unhealthy things. Yun Jing, go to the market at xxx side!" Jiang Xi commanded.
"Yes ma'am."
The place that Jiang Xi decided to go and shop with the kids was an inexpensive outdoor market where one can bargain prices with the sellers and get all fresh ingredients.
"I've never been here before," said Clara. "It's so unclean."
"It looks fun!" said Luna.
"Don't judge a book by it's cover, Clara, jie-jie will take you to learn something new today."
Clara looked up at her. "Shouldn't it be aunty?"
"… Clara, how old are you?"
"Eight."
"Call jie-jie."
And so, Jiang Xi took the two children to learn about farmers market and how to bargain prices. As a money saver and someone who never liked to use others' things, Jiang Xi felt uncomfortable when Yun Jing beat her at handing cash to the seller, but tried to adjust when Yun Jing reminded her that these were Li Chen's money and that she is his wife who is buying ingredients for the family. This money can be used rightfully by her.
At first, Jiang Xi didn't intend to buy much, but was told that the house really had nothing except for the necessary cooking appliances and a coffee maker. Apparently, both father and daughter used the microwave to heat almost everything.
Thus, in the end, the group came out carrying many bags of cooking utensils, fruits, vegetables, meat, and seasonings. Due to how much they were buying, Yun Jing had to make a few rounds to not expose their use of magic to send things back to the house.
Passing by a stand that sells cut fruits and fruit blends, Jiang Xi decided to buy some for the children to eat in the car and headed to a supermarket to buy flowers and pans for making cookies.
