Bab 70: Drama.
Watching the drama between Edward, Bella and Jake, was hilarious. It's the kind of love triangle you sit down with a bag of popcorn and just watch the world burn. I would occasionally sneak in little comments like, she is a witch she could indeed have a harem, just to add fuel to the fire. I mean I was sitting here with Alice and Leah who were happy. This raised quite a bit of tension between the three.
It was however better than watching anything on tv at this point in time. Honestly I don't see the appeal in the girl. Dull was an understatement when it came to her, she was kind of like one of those annoying side characters that whine about everything and bring almost zero skills to the table. I've got it. She was the Ron Weasley of the vampire world. Poor suckers.
The other thing that happened this week was me teaching Alice and Leah occulmency. I could guard their minds myself but that got tedious. Alice learned it pretty quickly Leah was a bit slower. But this kept Edward out of their minds.
It was like having a kind of hive mind at this point in time. We could all just pull things from each other for convenience. I didn't mind it much all the super embarrassing stuff I'm sure everyone has done in their life I had tried my best to delete. After that I really didn't care.
The girls went through everything with a fine tooth comb since they wanted to know it all. With Alices high powered mind added into the mix it was like throwing in a super computer with a group of old windows 98 computers. Her mind ran on a totally different level and I was quite jealous.
She could think of multiple things clearly at the same time. The first time I looked into her mind it was like watching multiple high speed movies. I couldn't make out shit. I still can barely make out stuff. The only other confusing mind like that would be Luna but that's because her mind is one of the most chaotic things I've ever seen. Giant magical mushroom forest and pudding cup houses, with all sorts of animals running around. It was like some Alice in wonderland stuff man.
Anyway back to the drama. I got to watch it all unfold first hand. I even joined in on trips down to the reserve with Leah to meet her mother. Most of the tribes members knew about things like imprinting and had zero qualms. Plus I was a young man with a decent job as a special agent. I was good looking, kind for the most part and skilled. We didn't really see the need to tack on that I was a wizard, a multimillionaire and had a harem as those might cause problems.
I didn't visit too many times although the reserve was a nice place. Alice wasn't allowed here currently so it's not polite to leave someone out like that.
Other than that it was a normal life. I had even made a trap for the younglings with all the time I had to think.
Soon the day came where they would show up. To prevent any unforeseen circumstances I had slipped Bella sleeping potion since Edward couldn't tell her no for anything and she was messing with plan. He was rather angry at me until i pointed out she would be safer and that he could blame it on me plus I had the only antidote. Negotiation skills were max level.
She was trying to be on a battlefield of highly dangerous vampires and if she couldn't have her way she was trying to take members from the field in her own greed. Nope, sleepy time for the problem child. We put her in the safest area so there wouldn't be any unforeseen results which was in my trunk. Which was then locked even Edward couldn't get in due to all the protections.
Then we headed towards the clearing they would be here soon. The whole place was covered in snow but you could make out the smell of blood everywhere. I had also set up my traps. There were barrels placed around the area. These were filled with blood and sleeping draught. Testing it out on emmet he had been knocked out for 5 hours.
The cullens were all fully fed so the blood didn't do much for them.
As the wolves showed up and hid. I would be the only one in the clearing at the time. If they only see a human in a blood coated area their guards will surely be down.
Sure enough once the first ones came into the clearing they lost all sense of reason and rushed the barrels of blood scooping it with their hands dunking their head in it to drink even when the other collapsed. They didn't care. I was disappointed that it was such a flawless plan.
When the last one was down I quickly vanished the barrels so it wouldn't tempt the cullens before using mithril wire and special hand cuffs the goblins made for me to restrain the vampires into a pile. I could hear fighting in the distance and screams of fury. I had noticed that the woman in charge and her second in command weren't here I figured they had tried to pull a sneaky move which I had told Alice about. They had failed and were being ripped apart as we speak. Proper planning my friends. However there is always those little kinks in the plan. My little kink happened to be the three crimson hooded volturi vampires currently gliding into the clearing while the others were handling the last two vampires.
The way they were looking at me wasn't all that reassuring either. The entire area was just coated with elder dragon blood and here I was all alone. A delicious looking morsel.
