The time for the Golden Finger Cup arrived in the blink of an eye, causing the number of people on this tiny planet to see a significant increase, fast. There were people everywhere even though it was only the preliminaries. Millions of people were bound to join the crowd once the actual competition began.

The first knockout round was held at different venues. The round's focus was to test the machinists' theoretical knowledge. The smart computers would come up with respective scenarios for the fields that the participants had applied for. They would mostly give a participant a piece of broken machinery and ask them to fix or modify it using limited parts.
