Kate's body froze after hearing Chloe's question. She had completely forgotten about this matter!

Chloe had been there when Stella kicked the car door open during their pursuit of Ciel. She was there when she leapt on top of the truck, and ran after Ciel all the way to the port. Back then, Miranda was still the enemy. It was impossible for her to have taken the Ascension Serum before then!

Kate was starting to feel anxious and it showed in her expression. The glutton had never been good about hiding her emotions. Chloe sighed because she could read her "Big Sister" like a book.

"It's fine," Chloe said. "You don't need to tell me now. Just tell me when you're ready."

To be honest, Chloe was very curious about Kate's origin. Back then, her Big Brother found her on the streets, but even he didn't try to pry about Kate's past. Since that was the case, Chloe decided to follow suit.
