Bab 63: Deku vs Denki
Deku looked around. Everyone around was progressing and getting better. "Fight me as a real man would!" Denki said again. Deku stumbled back a bit, but then stepped forward. "SMASH!!!" Deku shouted as he pulled his fist back. He punched Denki right in the stomach but was thrown back a bit because Denki had put on a Lightning Blanket. Deku's fist ached and soon turned a light yellow color. Denki smiled, getting back up. Deku knew that his right hand was basically out of commission. Deku ran towards Denki with his left fist pulled back, hoping not to strike Denki's Lightning Blanket. "Great for defense, innit?" Denki said confidently. "Learned it just a few weeks back."
Deku could not resist. He smiled and started running faster and faster. He yelled smash again and with a quick blink, he was on the ground again, sweating. Denki was still up, but his legs were weak and he was about to fall over. "Clever to hit you in the knees, wasn't it?" Deku said, getting up. "The most unexpected spot!"
"At least my blanket held out a little," Denki responded. "Otherwise I would be dead."
Denki ran towards Deku this time. Deku spun around and started traveling all over the place, trying his best to confuse Denki. He pretended over and over that he was going to attack Denki, and Denki always put up his blanket to cover. Eventually, Denki had pushed himself too far and fell to the floor. "You need to work on making that move last longer, as well as adding some new moves to your deck," Deku said, gazing down at Denki with a sparkle in his eyes. "And you also need to learn when the enemy is going to attack, and when they're tricking you."
"Alright everyone, we're done for today!" Deku shouted across the cave, picking Denki up off the ground. Everyone rounded up and left the cave. "Deku!" Denki yelled, running to Deku quickly. "You need to teach me how to do cool moves like that later, okay?" Denki said happily. Deku nodded and Denki used his bike to get home. Deku gazed at him for a few seconds before turning around and following the 2 or 3 people that were still here. Iida, Tokoyami, and Kirishima. The 4 of them looked around at each other. "Make sure to show me some real manly moves net time, Deku!" Kirishima said with a blazing fire in his eyes. "Sure will!" Deku said as he nodded. "I would like to see some more of those tricks next time," Todoroki said to Deku with a bit of excitement. "I sure had fun today. Have a good one!" Todoroki then said. Now it was only Deku and Iida. "Although I do not approve of this and think that school won't be great to drag into this..." Iida said with a blanket of determination covering him. "It is a helpful topic and your moves really help us all learn." Iida said. He suddenly flushed and ran home after seeing Deku's wide smile. Deku got home and flopped onto the couch, checking his phone. There was a message from All Might. "Meet me at the school grounds entrance, kid."
