Bab 9: Chapter 9: Changes
In a ground communication satellite station, a scientist is sleeping but is startled by the sudden blaring of the alarm. He quickly wakes up and goes to the console.
"Volcanic activity detected near the coast of Greenland"
He immediately wakes up his intern. "Hey you newbie go call the disaster rescue forces a dormant volcano is regaining life"
"Yes sir" He immediately starts contacting the authorities.
BACK to the small island in Greenland
It has been an hour since the array has started. Ray's throat has been parched from screaming. Screaming from pain. Although Kirin had stated that the pain had been greatly reduced due to his past life escapades, he still feels as if his bones are melting and his blood is made of acid.
In the first ten minutes, Ray had repeatedly asked the old man to stop to the point of begging. He could see the pain in his eyes and also his resolve to restore the glory of the name 'Grindelwald'.The next ten minutes all the hair had started flowing out. The seven orifices of Ray's body opened discharging fluid which looked like blood but at the same time darker and had a musky smell. Ray lay on the ground seemingly dead. His bones and blood had been restructured and now only the muscles remained. His body quickly atrophied. Gellert on the corner thought that he had fainted but he saw the array shining red which means that he had still not lost his consciousness. Gellert was proud. He had fainted at this moment as the pain in this stage was 100 times more than the previous two stages.
Back to Ray, He is hanging by sheer willpower. The danger of the future along with the desire to learn magic is the only thing remaining in his mind. His muscle fibres were repeatedly tearing and rejoining and then the pain suddenly stopped. Ray opened his eyes to see around but was suddenly hit by a tickling feeling. His hair had started growing back at the rate visible to naked eyes and he saw that he was visibly shedding his old skin which looked darker and dirtier. His new skin was sunny and vibrant. If Ray could see his new looked he would have immediately shouted "Anime".
Ray opened his mouth to speak but was hit by waves of drowsiness and fell asleep.
Gellert's POV
I saw my Grandson faint in front of me. I immediately supported him my right hand.
"Guess even Geniuses faint," I said to myself. The distant rumbling of muggles and their Iron machines could be seen. I quickly gave my Grandson a princess carry. Cough cough. How can this old man have ambiguous thoughts? He is my Grandson for merlin's sake. Well, check out that handsome face. He will be a ladykiller in the future. Oh, how I've spoiled my grandson.
Anyway need to escape. I quickly apparate away.
POV end
Ray opened his eyes, he was back in Numergard prison.
"Kirin for how many days I have been unconscious?"
"Boss you have been unconscious for an hour"
"Shouldn't this be the legendary backlash after gaining superpowers? How can I just wake up in an hour? "
"Boss I have scanned your body. The limit your body reached after a year of exercise has been broken. You can now continue to raise your physical strength ?"
"Will I be getting the legendary superman physique where I will be unscathed after blasting through hundreds of building and riddled by countless bullets ?"
"Sorry to break your dreams, boss but at most you will be slightly better than special forces soldier but reaching superman physique is impossible. I can sense that magic has been used to strengthen you, therefore, it may lead to easy learning of complex magic. Also, Boss, you may need to look at the mirror "
"Why ?" asked Ray confused. He immediately grabs the nearest hand mirror and looks at the person in the mirror.
"Holy Shiii.......tt"
