After leaving the Fallen's sanctum Dante decided to head back to his hotel.

A stream of notifications flashed through his retina as soon he put a considerable distance between himself and the sanctum, nothing was threatening her existence anymore.

[Master, should I show you your updated status window?] Nemesis sought Dante's opinion as she remembered his warning not to act on her own accord unless ordered.

''Please do so.'' He responded.

''Distribute the 20 stat's points on my stamina'' He immediately ordered and Nemesis did as she was told.

Dante felt his body becoming lighter and he could move it more freely. The previous changes must have happened because of the baptism.

He grabbed a cab to head to the hotel. The curious couldn't help but raise a question.

[Master, this may be presumptuous of me but I'm curious as to why you accepted that letter of recommendation.]

Having expected this question Dante chuckled before answering.

''It will be foolish of me not to make use of them as they are using me. Do you think that I can hide from them? Not at all, he must have predicted many things and acted accordingly. Preparing this letter of recommendation for Hunter's association must be one of them and I also expected this it is why I went to the bigger temple instead of the smaller ones. I'm nothing now, just a pawn that is being used but I'm a smart pawn.''

[I understand. I will suggest quickly getting stronger to start system hunting as I believe I will more helpful after evolving. As I'm now I'm just a basic system unable to properly help its master.]

''Don't worry, you will evolve soon. Let's just take one step at a time.'' He said before closing his eyes, he only opened them after they arrived at the hotel.

After a quick bath, Dante ate before heading to the Hunter association which is located in the middle of the city.

A towering building made of precious metal and glass stood before his eyes, however, Dante's eyes only lingered on them for a second before heading inside.

As expected the hall was numerous Awakeners waiting to take the license issuance test.

The reason why Awakeners across the country had gathered for a license is because of two reasons.

Getting a license would enable you to go into dungeons, this is the primary reason.

The secondary reason would be getting a license would increase the chance of getting scouted by guilds.

A simple analogy would be registering a product at an auction.

Novice Awakeners with good results would be scouted with exceptional conditions from major guilds.

There was nothing much to mention about the opposite cases.

Right now Dante had no desire to be in a guild even though Guilds are the highest organization of powerful awakeners with a lot of benefits.

Many of the awakeners looked at Dante because of his unusual looks, white hair is extremely rare, and only angels often have it or a special Awakener with a title. His heterochromia eyes stand out the most. People started wondering if he was not a bastard child, a mix between human and angel.

Dante ignored them as he proceeded to take the number tag before sitting somewhere to wait for his turn. He got the number 66.

There is a big screen all over the hall broadcasting information on dungeons, some showed the available quests ready to be taken.

''Humans are adapting well.'' Dante declared after a moment of silence. It is true, humans are the specie capable of adapting faster depending on any situation.

Hundred years ago humanity was almost got wiped out but now hundred years later they have adapted, living peacefully at least on the outside, after all, they are slaves to the angels and their master, a shackle they could never break as those in power controlled everything. What can you do when you can't surpass those oppressing you? You can't surpass your master? Absolutely nothing as you can only suffer, this is humanity's fate, living but not without a price, eternal servitude, they will never be free.

[Humans are truly pitiful.] Nemesis remarked as Dante seemed to have shared his thoughts with her.

''Indeed they're just like me but with the only difference that I want freedom and I will do anything to get it.'' He responded, like the humans, he is a slave, born in a laboratory for a purpose he was not that different from the humans with shackles just that he would break free from these shackles or die trying.
