Despite being rejected, Edward didn't back down. Instead, his liking to her became stronger. "May I ask if you live in the White Mansion, Miss Scott?"

"Yes I do," she trailed, "is something of the matter?"

"None," Edward smile, his hand reached out toward her and took her hand which was resting at the side by surprise. Leaning forward, Edward took her hand and pressed his lips to the back of her hand. "I wish you the best of health until we could meet again."
