Chapter 2
"Huh," sighed Alice. Her face was expressing the epitome of flabbergasted. "Didn't see that one coming..." She stated. "I take it you're not a fan?" asked Chessur, whose amused expression had yet to leave his face. At his comment,, Alice's eyes finally wandered from the roulette to only look up into those condescending golden eyes above it. 'This prick is definitely enjoying this…' she thought. Hearing Alice's inner thoughts brought back that pain-inducing wide grin to Chessur's s face.
Not wanting to confirm her thoughts, Chessur only replied, "Let us not doddle, yes? On to the second roulette, shall we?" Scrutinizing that annoying face once more before looking away, Alice gave her now perturbed attention to the new roulette below it. Instead of the single roll slot machine looking roulette before. Laying before her now was breathtaking and in the form of a bright galaxy of colorful stars and planets. Alice's mind became lost within the swirls of the Galaxy, completely forgetting her current predicament.
Becoming annoyed by Alice's enamored face, Chessur's delightful grin finally broke into a scowl of contempt. "Oh, for the love of the Red Queen, get it together, little girl!" Snapping out of her daze, Alice looked up to Chessur in embarrassment, face completely flushed of all color. "I'm Nineteen!" she stated in defense. As she spoke, she noticed that an outline of a head had slowly formed around the mouth and eyes that were Chessur himself. Gazing at the oddly round-shaped face with feline ears above it, Alice felt more and more like the thing looked oddly familiar.
"As I correctly stated before, a child…" replied Chessur, the smile returning in total amusement of Alice's embarrassment. Annoyed and not wanting to play into this vile Cat-mans game, Alice returned her attention to the Galaxy below. Feeling drawn to its wonder and mystery, Alice took her finger and placed it upon the brightly burning Sun that lay within the Galaxy. In reaction to her touch, the Galaxy's eighteen planets began to rotate around the Sun at rapid speeds. The worlds within spun so fast their eye-catching colors set the computer screen ablaze in a metamorphic beauty.
Chessur, eyeing the reaction from the planets within, again could not help but grin in amusement. It had been centuries since he had seen such a response from the "Galaxy of Elements." 'This girl never ceases to amaze me.' He pondered as his attention returned to the curious girl before him.
Alice's mind whirled in excitement and wonder as she thought about the upcoming adventure that lay before her. Hoping and praying to receive a practical gift, Alice's ecstatic eyes watched as the third planet from the Sun. A beautiful and eye-catching turquoise Titan halted its movement as a symbol in pure gold glowed above it. "2X" Confused at what it could possibly mean, Alice, jolted in shock at the laughter that rolled within her home. The source obviously being That cynical Cat-man Chessur.
"HAHAHAHA!"
"Well, aren't you the lucky one" He stated." Amusement was clearly displayed within his eyes. "The Dragon Source has decided to give you the gift of Doubles." Confusion Clearly marred across Alice's face, Chessur could only scowl in annoyance as he continued to explain. "Silly girl, think of it as an extra roll. Doubling your roll to two and receive a prize of two. Basically, you will receive 2 more gifts along with the gift of doubles." Realization slowly began to creep across Alice's face as she came to understand what that meant.
Chessur shaking his head at the clearly clueless girl before him, continued in his explanation. "Make no mistake, girl, the Gift of Doubles will also pertain to the life you will live soon." Not wanting to give her too much information, Chessur returned his attention to the Galaxy below.
Annoyed and realizing the stupid Cat-man would explain no more, she again looked down at the swirling Galaxy discovering the planets were still continuously spinning. In confirmation to her attention, a second planet began to slow to a halt. This one being the fifteenth planet from the Sun, beautifully bright and pink with an eye within its core that seemed to gaze within Alice's very soul.
Above it, a bright and golden four-leaf clover shined with all its brilliance. Chessur was shocked beyond recognition. Never had anyone rolled this gift. Chessur couldn't seem to close his mouth as he gazed upon the emblem of "The Devils Luck." His mind began to race. 'This is utter insanity,' He thought. 'Did this girl save a galaxy in her previous life? To have such luck!'
Alice looked at Chessur in wonder. Only for it to be followed by disappointment when she realized the stupid Cat-man would not be enlightening her with any information on this one. But from the look on his face, Alice convened that it was obviously an excellent draw. Her excitement returned as she focused back on the Galaxy below. She watched as the beautiful and final planet began to stop in its rotation.
Alight in a gorgeous sapphire blue, it shimmered and waved like the waters of the deep blue ocean. Above it, shining in all its glory, lay two golden swords across one another. Again, Alice jolted in shock from the reaction of Chessur. "You've got to be SHITTING me!" the Cat-man convulsed. 'Not only did she just receive three Golden Tier gifts, but the final one was the pure definition of BROKEN.' "Battle Bond Aura." would multiply the power her Pokémon would receive after every battle. With it tied in with her first gift, all Pokémon bonded to her would receive three times the stats of any other.
'I prayed for someone to end my stir-crazed boredom, and clearly, my prayers have been answered.' Thought Chessur as he returned his attention to the exuberant girl before him. Eyes clearly alight in excitement, Chessur could only laugh internally. Catching on to the Contagious excitement across the young girl's face, Chessur spoke again.
"I have to say; you child may very well be my godsend. Since you have already restored such a great amount of excitement to my life, I shall also gift you something for your new life." I will not tell you what it is, but I am sure you will realize its "Usefulness" when your new and glorious saga begins."
"Now, I do believe we've wasted enough time, don't you think?" asked Chessur as his cynically wide grin once again graced Alice with its presents. With that, Alice noticed a rather large and plump purple striped feline body began to manifest itself among the now obvious cat. With a wave of his tail, A galaxy began to form within the confines of Alice's bedroom. As the black hole-like space began to pull Alice within it, fear finally began to form upon her face with realization. 'This really was happening…'
"Wait!" she screamed. Alice didn't think that cynical grin could get any wider. Boy, was she wrong? "I've waited enough don't you think?" replied Chessur. "Now, my dear sweet Alice." With his golden eyes shining with excitement. "Due, try your best to keep us entertained." With that statement being of its finality. For some odd reason, the black hole seemed to remind Alice of a rabbit hole she came upon in the forest behind her grandparents' home many years ago as a child. It plucked her from her bed and began to engulf her entirely. With her arms stretched wide in a final attempt to hold on for dear life, her right hand grasped at her laptop as the blackhole absorbed her in its entirety.
Her final thought as she was dragged into the abyss?
'Who the hell is us?!'
