Days passed swiftly. Feng Mian rarely met with Zhang Liang again except in the morning because he usually came home when she was already asleep. Not even on the weekends because Zhang Liang would still go to work.
Feng Mian even believed that Zhang Liang was truly a workaholic with the amount of work he had done so far.
She had already finished her review and was currently waiting for the sweet to be finalized. It was only after they had decided on which sweet they would pick for Valentine could she start her work. Yu Yan told her that the other departments were already in chaos because they could not decide so quickly.
Because of that, Feng Mian finished her painting first.
'This should do.'
It took her some time before she decided to take her brother's playful expression to the painting. With that, she finished the painting of her and her brother when they were playing on the beach.
The girl is on the right side while her brother is on the left. In the middle was an incomplete sandcastle that the two of them built together. On the back, she saw the silhouette of her parents, playing in the water. At that time, the sky was clear, so Feng Mian painted the sky with blue and white color.
'I really miss you, Brother.'
Touching the surface of her painting, Feng Mian sighed. She put away her painting tools before covering the painting with a cloth.
Knock! Knock!
"Yes?"
"Madam, there's mail for you. It's delivered to your previous address, but a servant brought it here because you might want to see it."
Zhang Liang had paid in advance for her room in the motel. Even though it was just a cheap motel that didn't worth much, Feng Mian was thankful for his kind gesture. This way, she didn't need to worry about losing her home when it was the time for her to return back in the future.
Feng Mian walked to the door and unlocked it. When she opened the door, she could see Butler Lou stood with a smile on his face.
"Here's the mail, Madam."
"Thank you."
Feng Mian took the envelope while Butler Lou walked away. Seeing the address and writing, her brows creased slightly. There were not many people who would send her mail directly. With the existence of phones, it was clear that not many would still use this unconventional means.
Seeing the title, Feng Mian sighed.
'University Reunion.'
As she closed and locked the door again, Feng Mian placed the envelope on the side and read the content of the letter. It was an invitation to have a reunion together with those in the same course with her. The reunion would be held tomorrow and this would be the very first reunion they held.
"I didn't expect them to invite me," Feng Mian commented to herself. She was not close with anyone in the university for the last two years. They were merely acquaintances whom she talked with only for doing her group project or to ask for class's work. There was no one whom she could categorize as someone close to her.
Well, there was someone, but she no longer talked to that person after her third year because of an incident.
'I also want to know how the others are doing, though.'
Some of her classmates continued to pursue their career in arts. Some others chose to move and worked in different fields. After all, there were many people who worked in a completely different field compared to their degree.
"A little visit shouldn't hurt."
Feng Mian decided to go and planned on asking permission from Zhang Liang to go later at night or tomorrow morning.
Zhang Liang returned back home very late and Feng Mian was already asleep. She only knew Zhang Liang had returned back when the alarm rung early in the morning, pushing her to wake up.
"You don't have to follow my schedule," Zhang Liang glanced at Feng Mian as he ruffled his hair. His voice sounded a bit hoarse, a sign that he had just woken up.
Feng Mian sat up. "I want to ask something."
"Now?"
"I can't meet you at any other time."
It was then Zhang Liang realized that they rarely talked with each other. He frowned. "You have my number, right?"
Feng Mian: "…" she forgot.
Zhang Liang smiled amusedly when he saw the expression on Feng Mian's face. "What is it?"
"There's a reunion with my university classmates today. I want to come, can I?"
"Sure."
"Really?"
"Yes. Even though you're already married, it didn't mean that I'll restrict all of your movements."
Seeing that Feng Mian looked at him suspiciously, Zhang Liang just smiled. He slowly got down from the bed and stretched his body. "Except on the day where I told you to stay at home, you're free to do anything. If possible, I would like you to stay in the house, though."
Feng Mian nodded. "Got it."
"At least, until I announced that I got married."
"Excuse me?"
YOU'LL ANNOUNCE IT?
