Bab 89: Sleeping Demons, Waking Gods

Wasn't she searching for the nightfall flower? Wasn't she climbing down the mountain with Lucien, Midel, and Gio? Why is she now sitting at the emptiness around her? Why can't she see anything? 

"Yllana…" A sing-song voice tuned in. Yllana looked around and saw no one. Everything around her is dark. No ground, no air, nil. Zilch. Nothing. 'Where am I?' she thought to herself.

"Where are you? You should very well know right now," the voice chimed in. It was sweet to hear. And somewhat brings back a memory to her, but when she tried to recall the memory. She felt a stinging pain in her head. She clenched her teeth. 

When the pain subsided, she suddenly realized the familiarity of the voice.

"Mother!"

"Hehe, you silly child! How can you forget your mother?"

She tried to turn her head to see is she will know where the voice could have been coming from. 

"I am not there, Yana. Remember, I died?"

"Then, how?"
