Surprise!

Tears streamed down her cheeks at the sight of her beloved husband. 

"I was expecting to see your smile yet you greeted me with so much tears. Did something bad happened?" Marcus knelt before the sobbing woman and embrace her tight.

Jade couldn't say a word. Her tongue seems tied and words couldn't come out from her mouth for some reason. 

Upon seeing Marcus' bright smile, her doubts suddenly vanished and relief filled her heart. She could have suppressed her tears but the happiness of seeing the man overwhelmed her. He didn't leave her.

After a few minutes, she calmed down and finally smiled at him. "What happened? You know you can tell me anytime." Marcus asked in a soft voice.

Jade shook her head. "Nothing. I just missed you so much." She voiced before hugging the man again.
