Bab 187: CHAPTER 187: AT ALL COST

"Are they really necessary?" Jasmine asked her best friend when they went to grab a coffee in a nearby café. 

This is just the fourth time they've met outside since Jade moved to Marcus' house. According to her, she is only allowed to go out once a month for grocery purposes. However, she is to be accompanied by bodyguards. 

It was all Barry's fault. That damn house rules that even Marcus couldn't break. 

Yes, Jade have been putting up with Barry's rules for her son's sake. She greatly appreciates it when Marcus fought with his father for her. However, the only exemption that he gave them is this opportunity----to go out with bodyguards. She will be tailed wherever she goes and all her activities are being watched and reported to Barry. 

Not sure why but looks like Marcus is powerless when it comes to his father. However, Jade once overheard Marcus and Barry arguing about her complete freedom. But then Barry threatened the safety of his family.
