Dejection was clear on the man's expression when Kyoya glumly staring the plate in front of him. He was berating himself inwardly for failing a simple task of making a riceball. His hands had been sticky with the steamy rice but none of his efforts produced success.

Pausing the task at hand, Shouko turned to look at the riceball her husband attempted to make. Her shoulders shook as she couldn't help herself from laughing.

"Hehe, you should just stick on making it into the usual shapes," Shouko suggested with a wide smile plastered on her face.

Now was only a little over 6 AM. Both of them had got up earlier for the sake of making onigiri. ¹ Instead of making the usual triangular and round ones, they wanted to shape the riceballs into animal-shaped ones.
