Wen Delun gave up and when he left the rest of them shook their heads. Xin chuckled. "Our miss has some ideas, if she can earn money on that, it will be better for us as well."
Hong looked at him as coldness flashed in his eyes for a moment. "Us?"
Xin nodded. "Our miss always worries. Maybe she will less worry if she has more stability. We are after all many people and more will come. I know that the money she earns won't belong to us, after all, she earned it. But as Ling she is healthy and well, we won't be treated badly or starve. So, in the end, her money is good for us as well."
Huan poked in his plate and quickly glanced at Hong and Heng. It seems they both were completely now on miss side si he smiled a and stated at Xin as well.
"May I ask you question, if miss bow gives you enough money and let you go because she was worried you would starve by her side. What would you do." Looking at her actions so far she probably would do that.
Xin sighed. "This young child went through hell and back. Multiple times. Her struggle to survive is so strong that she lived over those things. If she was really short on money and would struggle to survive I would be really monster to run away. I am indeed grateful for all the things she did so far for all of us that I would feel like a beast if I leave her in her moment of struggle. I don't know about you boys, but I will stay by her side as long as I can."
Xin stood up from the table and saw them smiling at him. Yanglin nodded. "Me too." And the boys nodded as well. He smiled. "Then let's do our best. The less she worries, the longer she will live. She is young noble, no matter if she is signed in someone's family book or not. Her life should be happy and comfortable. Today I saw her for the first time completely relaxed. I wish she could live like that more often." Everyone agreed on that and went to do their jobs.
Outside sat comfortably looking Shu Ya on the chair, covered with a blanket and with interest listened to Wen Delun. "... so you want to say there is no real washing teeth appliance. Just wash with finger and water?" She hated that part the most. "How about foreigners? After all, they often have good ideas."
Wen Delun shook his head. "We do not cooperate with them when is health in question. Most if them still barbaric method's of healing."
Shu Ya closed her eyes and started thinking with scrunched eyebrows. "In that case... Wen Delun I have an idea and I'll need your help with it. If it really works then many people might lose there teeth less than before. Wouldn't that benefit health of people as well?"
Wen Delun through about it for a few moments. "Yes, healthy teeth would benefit people..." But when he turned his head towards her he could see her breath even and her head leaned to the side. "That looks uncomfortable. "
He was about to pick her up when two hands passed him and carefully took her in front of his eyes. Bolin carefully took her to her room and after putting her down he saw Louli covering her and waving that they leave.
Even tho he had a big body he actually knew as well how to walk noiselessly.
When he came out he saw Bolin sitting there and reading the book she was holding in her hands. "Her interests are same like her mother's. Maybe I should teach her more about medicine? It seems she is interested."
Bolin took the book away from him and put as a side just the way it was standing before. "I am sure you know this all. This is something her mother wrote for her. Random people should not touch it."
Wen Delun sighed. "Maybe that is the reason she was holding it so tightly. Her mother, Bai Zhenzhen... I met her once a long time ago. This child looks like her exact copy. If she were alive she would have skinned those people because of her. Somehow I can't believe she is really dead. Something tells me there is more to the story than it seems."
Bolin shrugged. "I know one thing. Our miss is a good person, but she holds grudges. If her mother is alive there will be a great fight between them two. She already denounced all her ties to both families. If she comes back safe, sound and alive, our miss will definitely kick her out. She lived in hell, going back the same path... she is unwilling."
Wen Delun shook his head. "But what if she was kidnapped or lost memory? There are many possible causes..."
Bolin just shook his head and stood up. "Miss has her mind and will make choices. Neither I or you should try to change it. Wen Delun, I will protect her no matter what. Or who. You are staying by her side just for a short while so you can have your ideas. But to me, she will be always in the first place. Anyone else is not her."
He strode to stables to check on horses while leaving Wen Delun in deep thought. Bolin stopped for a moment and saw him taking the book again while sighing. It seems he really knew lady Bai Zhenzhen.
Wen Delun put the book back on the table and sighed. He stood up and slowly strode to his room while Hauling pursed her lips and took a handkerchief to clean invisible dirt. "This is our miss book. Tsk, why touching it without permission. No rules at all." She carefully placed the book back and smiled. "Our little miss loves this book. Random people touching it... She probably will dislike it." She swiped one more time over the book and nodded in content.
Bolin chuckled as he saw her actions and walked to the stables. "Cute, that widow." He murmured more to himself.
