He believed her? Just like that? Lijuan was a bit surprised. For a moment, she had thought everything was going to turn out the way it did back then. She thought her sisters will begin to look down on her again and they would return to how they were. Why it was worse now was because her parents were here facing similar embarrassment and also, there was Yun and his family. But surprisingly, everyone believed her. 

"But... you were looking at me like you thought I..."

"No I wasn't." He cut her off. He hadn't wanted to meet Jenny or call her to tell her stop coming around because one, Lijuan might misunderstand and two, he thought he wouldn't get to meet Jenny again since it was a long time since she last reached out to him. He hadn't expected to suddenly see her here despite her knowing how serious he was about Juan.
