Jiaying was glad she was working for her father's company. How else could she have called in sick simply because she needed to rest after a night out with her girls?

She had only worked for a week yet she felt so exhausted. Her respect for Rong increased with each passing day as she couldn't imagine how Rong had been managing to go to work everyday for the past few years. 

She lay on her bed and looked at the number on her phone as she tried to make up her mind whether or not it was a smart move to call him.

She remembered the previous night.

After leaving Lijuan's room, she had driven her car down to a club to catch up with her 'friends'.

Ever since the world knew about Lijuan's issue, it was difficult finding any true friend since they always said things behind her back about her family. Rong also faced the same thing and there was little or nothing they could do about it.
