The Demon Lord did not even have to raise his head to know the anguish in the woman's heart. He know that something has got to give sooner or later.

"Adam." Meg Robinson said a full minute later and there were tears in her eyes already. She was guilty because she was the one who pushed Adam Smith in this whole affair.

She wanted to get Miles Walker back so badly that she lost another friend in consequence. More than that, the lives of 12 million soldiers were heavily hanging on her conscience.

"It is done." The Demon Lord announced.

"I'm sorry, Miles." With this apology, Meg Robinson approached the lonely bed in the middle.

She had done everything that she could but it was disheartening to realize that she was back in square one all over again.

"DING!" The huge bed looked ultra big for Meg Robinson alone to occupy.
