Thankfully, Shin quickly dropped the subject.

"I've been meaning to get in touch with you."

"Ah, you finally have a date for me joining the investigation team." Sumire immediately understood. She knew it would eventually happen. 

With the increasing number of angel drugs being found, Sumire knew the police were growing more anxious.

Shin sighs deeply. "I delayed it as much as I could."

Sumire giggled seeing how troubled he looked.

"It's okay, I was actually thinking it would be more convenient for me to join."

Shin looked at her puzzled for only a few seconds before sighing. "You have some guts, spying on the police."

Sumire shrugged. "But, it's the same for them no? They want me to join so they can keep an eye out on me."

They are both using each other.

"Fair enough. I don't know who else is part of the investigation yet, but when I do know I will tell you immediately so you can prepare."
