Bab 149: A New Challenger Appears  

"How the hell are players a part of this invasion force?" Leo asked the same question Black Howler had asked Dragon Joe. 

He was in a corner of the white-hot room where a circular table had been summoned for the dev team's emergency meeting. 

The one to reply to his question was McCloud. "We believe that a thousand players that make up the bulk of the enemy force come from the new recruits that signed up during the Coven-Live event…"

"Didn't we add around two-thousand players that day?" Lagertha confirmed. 

"Um, four thousand, actually," Bronte, son of Brontes corrected. "Two-thousand on the first twenty hours and then another two-thousand during the weekend…"

"We were supposed to add a total of ten thousand during the event period but the plans were scrapped after we learned that more soul energy is required to accommodate that many new players," McCloud further explained.
