Bab 91: Come Back

Ilyan pursed his lips together. His eyes went to Irene for a fraction of a moment before he gave a small nod to Grace, confirming her guess that seemed anything but a guess to him. Her eyes shimmering with confidence gave away that she did even need him to verify. She knew. She knew who he was.

"Oh wow. Is this like for real?" Grace almost jumped on her feet from the couch, her widened eyes refusing to go back to their original shape. "I have heard so much from Xavier about you."

Ilyan raised a brow. "Xavier? You talking about Xavier Wiliams? You know him?"

"Of course, I know him. He is my -" Grace's words came to an abrupt halt, realizing what she was about to say.

She darted a glance at Irene who sat clueless to the conversation that was going on. "Friend. He is my friend," Grace said, covering up for the blunder that she was about to make.

"Oh okay…" Ilyan bowed his head in acknowledgment. "Xavier is a gem of a person himself."
