Bab 119: Cause of Maxim's death

More than half an hour had passed since Maxim left but the nagging feeling persisted in her heart.

She convinced herself that the strange ache in her heart was going to leave soon. 

Friends or not, it was highly inappropriate for them to keep living together. 

She made the right decision by moving out. 

''It's fine, baby. You don't need to be sad about it, okay? Other than my working hours, I will take you to meet that pretty uncle anytime,'' Goodness, if only it did not feel like she was comforting herself more than she was comforting the little girl.

Ugh. 

''Ma… aaa…'' Angel mumbled incoherent phrases and the chaotic thoughts in her head were put the rest as Diana kissed the girl's temples. 

A soft smile graced her lips when the girl giggled. 

There was still some food left in the bowl when Angel dozed off. Diana cleaned her up and placed her on the bed.
