Bab 87: Chased by ghosts

Soon, the door opened and the girl appeared. Her usually flowery face was riddled with dark circles. 

''Uh... Sir?" Ivy blinked as she rubbed her eyes. She ended up playing games all night and only now did she realize that it was already dawn. 

''Take a nap before you prepare breakfast,'' Maxim glanced at his watch, ''And...'' 

Ivy's ears perked up at the 'and' as she found the man's expressions quite complicated like he was struggling between a life and death matter. 

Asking her to make breakfast was already surprising enough. What more was left?

Normally, he was always straightforward and never beat around the bush like this.

When he remained quiet and stood there like a wood, Ivy was so intrigued that she started pestering Maxim, ''What is it, Big Boss? You gonna tell me, aren't you? I hate it when people start with a word and then say—'' 

''Leave it,'' Maxim's words interrupted the chatterbox as her worst nightmare came.
