Bab 158: A Glimpse of New Gods
With the endless curiosity of the noisy harpies I began the construction of the Fighter Jet's body, the Argus Gel easily formed into a clear and strong coating which was plastered all over the Feather Storm Metal body.
It came along pretty well, it looked like what I'd imagine a stealth bomber to look like in a Fantasy/SciFi setting. Lots of glowing bits, lots of shiny dark blue metal, and it gave off an aura of just one word... Thunder. It felt like this thing could generate dust storms just by being turned on...
Now comes the complicated bit. The actual programming and engine work. Scrap that last part though, for the engine I can easily just use air or Feather Storm mana crystals to blast out air at high speeds. The complicated bit is actually just making sure it runs properly, if I fuck up the programming then I fuck up the Jet.
Plain and simple, got it? Got it. I can use my ''''''Blue Prints'''''' of the car to start with, the controls are simple and easy to remember, then I need to modify it to support more options such as wing angle and many... many others. With the modified controls, then I'll be able to realistically operate the air craft with a moderate amount of practice. I'm no ace pilot or anything, but I've flown r.c. planes before... how hard can it be? Wait shit no that's a flag! Fuck... alright, now I gotta prepare my anti-flag procedures.
I'm getting off topic with insane ramblings again. Let's just finish this up, It's nearly 5pm now.
I installed the '''Computer''' into the plane, the coding was all finished up. The only thing left is the engines to cause the plane to actually fly, this is easy. I've already prepared slots for the crystals... 2 around the size of the cleanser to be exact. These should be enough to supply a large amount of thrust and speed, I wouldn't doubt that these alone could power a level 10 spell but to be honest... what's the point of that? Temporary gains as opposed to permanent outcomes? Influencing the world is more important that influencing yourself in this hyper specific situation.
I set up the engines, engaged the computers, double triple check everything... and this should be it! It's not a mount car just yet, I haven't assigned it... I just want to make sure everything works... the power from the crystals seem to be perfect. The computer works. The case is steady and set. The Frame is sturdy and ready to take any blow. The Glass is...

Just when I said no need... you throw this shit on me.
Well, it doesn't matter much. These abilities aren't going to really be used much, most of my time anyway is spent working and experimenting... this will just help me get places faster in case of emergency. So it does fulfill that purpose pretty well!

Let's start off with... I don't know... a Cloak?
Making a cloak is easy, it's just loose fabric on your back. Problem is, I don't really have an affinity with fabric so I might outsource my cloak from some tailor, there is quite the amount of issues with that but overall... alchemy doesn't mesh well with fabric making. For a high tier item, my best bet is to get a trustworthy tailor and provide the materials.
The other option is to just... make a tailor. A Chimera of some sort with enough training will eventually be able to become a tailor of player grade, but am I willing to spend that much time in a simple cloak? No. So then, what should I do...
Maybe I should focus on something else, like a chest piece or a helmet... or... gauntlets.
Whatever it is, I gotta do it fast... these harpies are driving me crazy and I swear more and more of them show up every time I look away. Whatever it is... I wish Mordova was here.
She forced me to always work faster and harder, a Superior telling you what to do is more motivating then just doing something for later ease... at least for me anyway, under mordova I made entire gear sets in under a day.
It does take longer to make the good stuff I use today, but in actuality... I need to be faster.
Let's begin then, I'll be making a cape unlike any other cape before it. It won't be out of fabric, it won't be out of thread or fiber or anything else, it will be purely metal... and specifically it will be made of chains.
Using Special Metal made of Balance Mana, I create large gold chains with black spikes made from Violent Blood Metal. Two chains go down to my ankles while the others hang down in a large ' V ' shape. A total of 8 total chains vertically, horizontally 6 more chains make it an actual cloak as opposed to chains hanging down in me. I carved violent blood magic circles into the spikes and overhang my old cloak on top which covers about half of it.

I'm thinking a meatloaf would be cool, but I don't believe everyone would enjoy it as much as something else... maybe I'll make skewers.
Its been a while since I made skewers.
I'm glad I'm the best chef of the group, overall it let's them rely on me more... and that makes me feel good. There is absolutely better chefs out there but between My group and Arch's group... everyone besides Melody and Anise would probably burn water, not even Syn can cook... he can't taste so that's to be expected.
