Bab 210: Episode 210: Continue!
Waking up at ten in the morning, is no other than me and my companions after staying late last night for the festival of the new year. Now? We proceed to the site of my last gym badge, Dracovolt City.
Famous for its dam, Dracovolt city is also home to dozens of Pokemons, specifically dragon type Pokemons. Of course, one more hurdle is between us and that is the Valley of Dragons.
Primarily a jagged terrain, the valley is home to large winged-beast, hence the name of the locale. The tricky part, however, is not to pass the jagged terrain but to also defeat what may come to our path. Perhaps a little training will be nice on my way to the last city.
"Thanks, Professor Goldberg!" The four of us gestured in a respectful manner in the gates of the town.
"Ah, good luck with your journey! And safe travels. Best Wishes to all of you!" Goldberg greets back.
"... Oh right, and good luck with the Pokemon League Kalem, two months remain before it finally commences." Goldberg adds, while waving his hands.
"Don't worry professor, I'll surely make you proud!" I wave back with a delighted smile to hear his words.
After the bidding of goodbyes, it's time to continue our journey! On our alternative route to the city, we are blessed to encounter a whole lot of Pokemons. Pokemons which are eyes haven't seen before.
With the help of Irys, we were able to identify most of them such as Pinsirs and Trapinches. There are also grass type Pokemons such as the little onion Oddishes and the smelly Glooms.
However, one problem crosses our path and that is no other than the sleepy Pokemon, Snorlax. In the middle of an intersection, it blocks our path. Its snores are loud and extreme, as if there was a hurricane nearby.
"Now what? How can we pass the sleeping giant?" Glade questions in a sarcastic manner
"Lucario, try using Aura Sphere!" I instruct.
<Luc! Luc! Lucario!> A sphere of energy forms upon Lucario's grasps. He then throws it towards the sleeping giant however once the attack settled, Snorlax was found without a single scratch nor scar.
"This is mockery I believe. I think Snorlax is awake but is a couch potato to move." Kira sighs then tosses out her Piloswine.
With Piloswine, it tried to use powder snow but once more, it failed miserably, leaving the sleepy giant with no scars at all.
With frustration, I decided to do something crazy and that is to shout at its ear. Although I had high hopes that it would work, my shout only caused Snorlax to switch sleeping positions. From the right, he turns his body to the left, nearly crushing the hell out of Shaymin.
"Listen here, you little crap! Just give us three seconds for us to pass and we'll live you in peace." Glade demands in anger.
"That won't work if you swear to it. I'd suggest that we just remain calm and find a better way to solve this gobbledygook." Camillia sighs and suggests at the same time.
From all these gobbledygook and non-sense, an old hag appears out of nowhere. She has teeth painted in gold, fingernails sharper than knives, and a cane more brittle than her legs.
"Having a hard time my children?" With a spooky voice, she utters. Due to her scary face, the four of us flinched.
"Don't worry, I have the perfect tool in order to awaken the sleeping giant. This is the Pokemon Flute, it's melody has the power to awaken any Pokemon, even that hard-headed Snorlax." The woman offers.
"Sure! Thanks a lot." I beam with ecstasy, however, the woman responds with a devilish smile.
"If you want the Pokemon Flute, then you must defeat my three trials. Once you do, I will give this flute for free..."
"Trials?!" The four of us beam in shock.
"Of course, nothing comes for free. Therefore, my trials are only a small price to pay."
"Please, we dont have the time for we are in a rush to Dracovolt City." Kira excuses but in a respectful manner.
"Your excuse bores me. Your demeanor is as those of a pouty child. Dare to disagree, and I will bathr Snorlax with your blood." The woman shouts with frustration.
Her words have caused the four of us to choke out saliva, and flinching as well. She sounds like a hag who eats children and kids alike.
In response, the woman chuckles in a devilish and malicious way, scaring the bloody hell out of our sanity. Who is this woman anyway? And what did she mean by trials?
