Bab 195: EPISODE 195: Strong Will, Dragon Will!
Heads up Dracovolt, I'm going to knock down your gym. Just like as planned, me and my companions are heading to the city through a short cut found on the western side of the city. My body felt better and stronger. My wounds no longer bore the pain, while determination and exuberance conquered my heart.
[Dracovolt city, home of the dragons! Khaidra is known as the gym leader of Dracovolt city. She is profoundly smart when it comes to dragon-type Pokemons and moves, thus, people call her the dragon master of Laurenburg.
Dracovolt city is famous for its large Draco dam. This dam is what gives the citizens of Glacevelt, Aulmurus, and Dracovolt pure and clean water.] Irys informed while floating above our heads.
"I remember Khaidra, she's the one who trained and evolved my Dragonair. I wonder how she would feel when she sees how strong Dragonair has become." I beamed with excitement and exuberance. I couldn't wait to reach the city, just one more badge remains for me.
"Oh now it all makes sense. When I battled your Dragonair back at Fantasma city, I saw how ferocious her burning passion is." Kira complimented.
"It would be great if you evolve Dragonair to surprise Khaidra," Camellia suggested.
"Hmm, you're right! Dragonair hasn't evolved yet. Hey Irys, can you tell me information about Dragonair's evolution." I looked and instructed at Irys who seems to be floating around the sky.
[Dragonite! The Dragon Pokemon, and the final evolved form of Dratini. DRAGONITE is capable of circling the globe in just sixteen hours. It is a kindhearted POKéMON that leads to lost and foundering ships in a storm to the safety of land.]
Dragonite is a draconic, bipedal Pokémon with light orange skin. It has large, grayish-green eyes and a round snout with small nostrils. A pair of long, thin antennae sprout from the top of its head with a small horn set between them. Its striated underbelly is cream-colored and extends from its neck to the tip of its long, tapering tail. It has thick arms and legs ending in three claws each. The leg joints are well defined, while its arms have a smooth, rounded appearance. Dragonite's wings are small relative to its body with teal wing membranes.
Despite its bulky build, Dragonite is capable of flying faster than the speed of sound. It can circle the globe in sixteen hours, traveling roughly 1,556mph (2,505km/h), or about three times the speed of an average airplane. A kindhearted Pokémon with human-like intelligence, Dragonite shows signs of altruism: it is said to save humans from drowning and lead lost or foundering ships to safety.
"Imagine how powerful Dragonite will be. I agree with Camellia, you should evolve her Kalem." Glade concurred.
"Yeah, but the problem is, how can I evolve Dragonair, there are no trainers in sight." I thought deeply on my mind when suddenly hope struck back. A young girl with green hair, a familiar scent, and voice called my name from afar.
"Kalem! Kalem! Long time no see!" Darcy beamed with exuberance while rushing towards me.
"Oh, if it isn't Darcy. Nice to meet you again. Camellia, Glade, and Kira, this is Darcy, she's a dragon trainer." I introduced.
"A dragon trainer? Hmm, how did the both of you meet?" Camellia squinted with her eyes, blocked me from Darcy, and leaned her head towards the dragon trainer.
"Here we go again." Glade sighed and facepalmed from the background.
"Kalem and I battled somewhere back in a pine tree forest. His Dratini easily lost against my Deino back then." Darcy boasted.
"Ah, I know! Hey Darcy, I challenge you to a rematch against me and Dragonair." My body filled in with determination.
"Oh, Dratini evolved!? Sure thing, I accept your rematch! Just don't cry when you lose." Darcy teased and giggled.
"Well, looks like you've messed with the wrong trainer, Kalem's Dragonair is extremely powerful. Even more powerful than your Deino." Camellia boasted and somewhat promoted my bond with Dragonair.
"Is Camellia always like this?" Kira questioned.
"Nah, she's only like that every time another girl confronts Kalem," Glade explained while watching Darcy and Camellia argue.
"Now I see." Kira giggled while watching the two girls argue about who's stronger.

"The battle between Darcy and Kalem is about to begin! Each shall use one dragon type Pokemon, the battle ends when either side no longer has any dragon types to battle with." Kira announced.
"Hee, hee! I and Dragonair will win for sure." I boasted with determination and exuberance.
"No way! My Pokemon is much more powerful than your Dragonair! I'll prove it to you." Darcy smirked while boasting back at me. Glade and Camellia watched from the background. Camellia rooted for me while Glade kept things fair and cheered for the both of us.
"Both trainers, please send out your dragon type Pokemons!" Kira instructed.
"Dragonair, rematch time!"
<Drag! Drag!>Dragonair was surprised to see Darcy once more. She glared at her with certainty over victory.
"Dragonair huh? Then, I choose you Hydreigon!"
Hydreigon is a three-headed, draconic Pokémon with six thin, black wings that each end in two points on its back. It has a fuchsia-colored collar on its neck which surrounds its head. The main head is dark blue and has black eyes with fuchsia pupils. Its two hands are also black and each one harbors a head; these are similarly blue with black eyes with small fuchsia collars on the inside. Its abdomen has two fuchsia stripes and its feet appear atrophied, having no claws or defined soles and two or three small toes. Its tail also sports a fuchsia stripe and ends with a black tuft.
Hydreigon is a violent, destructive Pokémon. It will attack anything that moves, determining it a foe. Its heads can consume anything. Many stories describe Hydreigon destroying entire villages. Despite its three heads, it is a singular entity, unlike its pre-evolution Zweilous; its secondary heads lack brains, and do not move or think of their own accord.
Hydreigon flew above Dragonair, and did its best to intimidate the foe. Dragonair stood still while glaring at the three-headed beast.
"Let the battle begin!" Kira proclaimed.
"The first's move is ours! Hydreigon, use Dragon Breath!"
*The three-headed beast spewed a fiery dragon flame towards the foe!*
"Quick Dragonair, dodge the attack then use Ice beam on the foe!"
*Dragonair's body squirmed around while keeping her eyes lock unto the foe.*
<Hydreigon!>The three-headed best perished and descended back to the ground. Ice-type attacks are extremely effective against dragon-type Pokemons.
"Pfft! Try dodging this, Hydreigon, now use tri attack!"
<Drag! Drag! Drag!>Dragonair tried to dodge the attack but the three heads kept on attacking on all angles.
"Dragonair, quick use Hydropump and push Hydreigon away!"
"Hydreigon, drag the foe to the sky and drop her!"
*Dragonair's slithering body was lifted by the claws of the three-headed beast. Hydreigon dropped Dragonair towards the fertile ground, dealing maximum damage.*
"Come on Kalem! You can do this!" Camellia shouted and cheered loudly.
"Hydreigon now use Dragon Pulse!"
*Being a dragon move, dragon pulse is super effective against dragon type Pokemons.*
Dragonair stood back up looking injured and maimed. She kept her cool and glared at the foe no matter how frustrated she is.
"Dragonair, we won't give up yet! Use Hydropump once more!"
"Hydreigon, dodge the attack then lift Dragonair to the sky!"
<Hy! Hydreigon!>Hydreigon flew around the sky while dodging an array of hydropumps targeted on him. With his claws, he grabbed my Dragonair and lifted her to the sky.
"Quick Dragonair bite Hydreigon's leg!"
<Drag!>Dragonair unleashed all of her frustration and bit the foe harshly. However, even if it was harsh, Hydreigon was still able to withstand the Dragonair's bite. The foe dropped Dragonair to the sky, and that's when my heart pounded loudly. Sweat fell off my face, while worry and concern shrouded my mind.
<Dra! Dra! Dragonair!>Dragonair shouted for help while descending back to the ground.
As I watched and think of battle strategies, Dragonair started to glow while descending back to the ground. Her slippery and slithering body turned into an orange dragon with two short wings.
<Dragonite!>Dragonair evolved into Dragonite! She was inches away from hitting the ground, but she evolved just in time to fly back to the sky.
"Finally, Kalem's Dragonair evolved into Dragonite! Go Kalem!" Camellia was very entertained with the battle. She continued to cheer and observe Dragonite's strong will.
[Dragonair currently knows four moves:
-Thunder Punch
-Dragon Dance
-Dragon Rush
-Ice Beam] Irys interrupted the matched and informed with Dragonite's new moves.
"It's fine with me if your Dragonite evolves! Hydreigon use Dragon pulse now!"
"Dragonite, dodge the attack then fly higher to the sky! Use Dragon Rush from there!"
<Bwargh!>Dragonite smirked and dodged Dragon Pulse with ease. A dragon silhouette surrounded Dragonite's body as she charged towards the foe.
"Great Dragonite, now follow it up with Ice Beam!"
<Bwargh!>Dragonite pulled Hydreigon's tail and kicked it back to the ground. Hydreigon was placed under a vulnerable angle, and that's where Dragonite struck!
The dust scattered across the sky! Slowly did they settle, to reveal the three-headed beast looking injured. Hydreigon tried to stand but was unable to continue.
"Hydreigon is no longer able to battle! Which means the match goes to Kalem and Dragonite!" Kira announced and proclaimed. Dragonite's rage turned into affection. Irys was right about how warm-hearted these dragons could be. She squeezed me tightly that my eyes could pop anytime sooner!
"Pfft! I've got to say, Dragonite is powerful alright." Darcy concurred and complimented.
"Really!? Thanks! Hydreigon is powerful as well! Hey, didn't you say that you were going to compete in the Pokemon League?"
"Of course I am! Only the Crown Badge remains for me and my team. You're headed to Dracovolt city aren't you? Here's a tip, better train hard if you don't want to lose against the dragon master." Darcy advised as she sends back her Hydreigon.
"Thanks for the advice, Darcy! We'll meet in the league, and from there, we'll battle one more time!"
"I'm looking forward to it. Now I know why you didn't want to trade your Dratini back in the forest." Darcy giggled while we shook each other's hand.
From there, we parted ways from the dragon trainer. Darcy continued her eastern path to the city, while we continued our western path. My heart beamed with joy and exuberance to see my registered team all fully evolved! Dracovolt city awaits, as the journey continues!
