Bab 75: EPISODE 75: Gambling the Cacnea Gang!
"Please Mr.Florence! Please... just show me one of your Pokemon." I begged with my panda eyes.
"Sorry Kalem, as gym leader... I can't show you the Pokemons I'll be using at our gym challenge."Mr.Florence uttered and explained after revealing himself as the gym leader of Silvent City.
Yesterday, I participated at the Dojo challenge at the Dojo tower. I won the four matches but lost against Cao, the master dojo. Riolu seemed disappointment but I cheered him up! We still need to improve our battling skills, as we go through our journey. No once can be strong right away, we need to struggle in order to achieve greatness. Mr.Florence told me that he is the gym leader of Silvent City, this brings us a question... What type does Mr.Florence specialize in?
Now we're on to Silvent City! The problem is, it'll be a long journey from the desert since the northern reaches is the largest part of the desert. The northern desert is also known as route twenty, the largest and longest route in the area!
"Hey Elly, tell me! What are your dad's Pokemon?" I whispered to the little child.
"Sorry Kalem! I can't tell you, it's a secret!" Elly beamed with happiness while hugging my Riolu.
"Aw! Please Elly, I'm begging you." I pleaded.
"Sorry Kalem! I won't say a thing!" Elly teased as she stretches Riolu's cheeks.
"Kalem... help me, Elly is torturing me!" RIolu begged.
"Just play along Riolu! She's a little toddler, let her play with you. That's your purpose as a cute Pokemon." I teased.
"I'm not cute! I am a serious, and determined Pokemon! I'm made for battling people you know?"
"Yeah I know, but now... stay cute!" I teased and laughed.
"That isn't funny!" Riolu uttered at his head.
While crossing the vast desert, we figured that it was time to eat some lunch! Our bellies are craving while our throats are drying!
"Alright! It's time to eat everyone!" Mr. Florence beamed with encouragement as he placed the food at the table.
"Thank you for the food!" We shouted and dined it!
While eating lunch, something was disturbing Elly! Something behind her was pulling her shirt.
"Huh!?" Elly wondered as she looked under the table.
"I swear I felt something touching my shirt." She recalled.
"Hey Elly, are you alright?" Camellia queried.
"Something behind was touching my shirt!" Elly explained with her childish voice.
"Then why are you looking underneath the table if it was behind you?" Zhery queried sarcastically.
"Zhery, she's just a little kid," I uttered softly.
"Yeah, you're like her you know! A little kid!" Zhery teased.
"What did you say!?"
"Here we go again!" Glade facepalmed.
Something behind Elly touched her shirt again.
"Oh? Hello there greeny Pokemon!" Elly looked behind her and saw a green circle Pokemon.
<Cac...Cacnea!... Cac!>The Pokemon uttered solemnly.
"Oh hey there Cacnea! Is there anything wrong?" Elly queried.
<Cac...Cacnea Cac!>The Pokemon uttered with pain and started to cry.
"Oh... I see, your hand has a wound! Here, have this berry." Elly smiled at Cacnea while getting a berry from her plate.
<Cac...Cac?>The Pokemon wondered in confusion.
"This is an oran berry! It's a very yummy berry! Try it!" Elly encouraged.
<Cac... Cac... Cac! Cac!> The Pokemon took a bite at the berry. Cacnea smiled at the little toddler.
"See? I told you it was delicious! Hey, do you want to play?" Elly queried with her baby doll eyes.
<Cac!Cac!>The Pokemon beamed with happiness.
"Great! I'll go ask my dad."
"Dad! Can I go play?" Elly queried with her baby doll eyes.
"Alright, just don't wander too far!" Mr.Florence reminded.
"Yay! Yay! Thank you daddy." Elly smiled at her dad.
"Kalem, can Elly borrow one of your Pokemons for awhile? She might get lost in the desert at least one of your Pokemons knows the way back." Mr.Florence asked.
"Yeah sure Mr.Florence! Come on out Treecko!" I sent Treecko out of his Pokeball.
"Treecko, protect Elly ok?" I instructed with respect as Treecko smiled back at me.
"Daddy! I'm old, I can find my way back." Elly uttered with a grumpy face.
"Better safe and sorry Elly! Alright, you and Treecko run off now!" Mr. Florence explained.
"Ok daddy! Bye!"Elly uttered and left with Treecko and Cacnea. We didn't know that Cacnea was with Elly at first.
"Get back before three Elly!" His dad instructed as Elly, Treecko, and Cacnea rushed to play together.
"Cacnea, this is Treecko! He's my friend's Pokemon!" Elly introduced as they walked together.
<Cac!Cac!>The Pokemon waved and smiled at Treecko!
<Treeck!? Treecko!>The Pokemon uttered with no interest in Cacnea.
"Come on you two! You should be friends if we want to play together!" Elly reminded.
<Treeck!>The Pokemon glared at Cacnea's eyes.
<Cacnea...>The Pokemon uttered and shivered with fear.
"Treecko, Cacnea is our friend! Don't get mad at him!" Elly uttered with her cute voice.
<Treeck! Treeck!> The Pokemon moved his head sideways swiftly.
"Treecko! Be a good friend please..." Elly begged with her baby doll eyes.
<Treeck!>The Pokemon face palmed himself and agreed to Elly's pleading.
For several minutes, they walked and talked together until a group of Pokemon came rushing towards them. The group looked very fierce and strong while Elly got scared. Treecko blocked Elly and protected her.
"Leave the girl alone!" Treecko ordered the group.
"We're the Cacnea gang! Leave our gang member alone!" One of the Cacnea's badgered.
"Cacnea? Are you part of their gang?" Treecko queried with suspiciousness towards Cacnea while he hides behind Elly's leg.
"Y... Yes, but I don't want to be part of the gang anymore. They kept on hurting me... That's why I have a wound." Cacnea explained and showed the wound.
"So... Cacnea gang? You were abusing Cacnea!? Is it true!?" Treecko asked as he squints his eyes.
"We were just training Cacnea! That Cacnea is the weakest member of our gang!" One of the Cacneas uttered.
"Even though! It is not right to abuse Pokemon!" Treecko badgered as he remembered his memory about the two chubby men trying to kill him.
"Are you trying to gamble with us? You're trying to pick up a fight eigh? Give Cacnea back!" The Cacnea gang demanded.
"Please Treecko! I don't want to go back to the gang. Please tell them to leave me alone." Cacnea begged.
"Leave Cacnea alone or I'll destroy all of you!" Treecko warned.
"Destroy us? You think you can defeat us?" Another Pokemon walked slowly towards the three of them. It looked like a cactus but had a grimace on his face. He looked like a sheriff but he was the leader of the gang.
"The name's Cacturne! I'm the leader of the Cacnea gang." The evolved form of Cacnea uttered with a hoarse voice.
"You think you can defeat me? I am a strong Pokemon! You have no chance against me!" Treecko glared at Cacturne's eyes.
"Is that so!? Then why don't you battle me? If you win, Cacnea can roam free but if you lose, Cacnea comes back to us?" Cacturned gambled.
<Treeck! Treecko!> The Pokemon explained.
"What... you're saying Cacturne wants to battle us? But I don't know how to battle." Elly complained.
<Treecko!> The Pokemon encouraged.
"You're right Treecko! This fight is for our friend! We must save Cacnea from eternal abuse from the Cacnea gang! Good thing I saw you and Kalem battle before!" Elly uttered with determination.
"Alright Cacturne! Prepare to lose!" Treecko uttered as he squinted his eyes.
"Oh ho? This is going to be a blood bath!" Cacturne exaggerated as the Cacneas began to circle the four of them.
"Alright Treecko! Let's do this." Elly uttered with determination.

"Treecko knows two moves, quick attack and razor leaf! Let's give them a show." Elly uttered unto her mind.
"If I win this match, this will prove that one day? I'll become a Pokemon Master! Just like what Kalem told me." Elly added.
"Alright Treecko! Use Quick Attack!"
Cacturn dodged the attack!
"Cacturne use Razor Leaf!"
Cacturne dodged then used pin missile!
*Large thorns fell at Treecko!*

"Alright Treecko! We ain't giving up, use razor leaf!"

"Treecko! Dodge the attack then use quick attack!"
*A green sphere filled with Cacturne's energy was shot at Treecko, but Treecko dodged the attack!*

Meanwhile, I decided to have a short walk with Riolu while everybody was still eating. While we were walking, we saw a small explosion.
"Riolu! Look at that!?" I pointed with shock.
"Kalem, isn't that where Elly went to!?" Riolu recalled.
"You're right Riolu! Something wrong must be happening over there! Let's go!" I uttered with encouragement as I rushed towards Elly.

"Oh no Treecko! Please stand up, don't give up yet!" Elly begged while Treecko slowly stood while glaring at Cacturne's eyes. The other Cacneas were laughing at Treecko's lousy moves.
"What now Treecko? Do you quit? Heh!?" Cacturne teased and laughed.
"I never said I was giving up!" Treecko pushed his self up but Cacturne used Pin missile again!

"Haha! What weakling! You're just like Cacnea! Give up Treecko, you'll never defeat me!"
Treecko wiped away his sweat and forced himself up but Cacturne used Pin Missile and mocked Treecko again.

Cacnea was hiding behind Elly's leg. Cacnea observed the battle very well but it was still frightened because of Cacturne's looks.
Treecko pushed himself up again and glared at Cacturne's eyes!
"Not going to give up eigh!? That-" Treecko launched a new move before Cacturne finished his statement. Numerous seeds came out of Treecko's mouth and damaged the foe Cacturne!
"Great Treecko! You learned Bullet Seed! Kalem is going to be happy once he heard that you learned a new move." Elly smiled.

"Riolu! Use Force Palm on Cacturne!" From behind Elly was me and Riolu! I ordered Riolu to save the little toddler and my Treecko!
<Cac!> The Pokemon uttered with pain.
"Leave Elly and my Treecko alone!" I badgered while gasping for air.
<Ca... Cacturne Cac!> The Pokemon shouted and shivered with fear.
<Cac! Cacturne! Cac! Cac!> The Pokemon ordered the whole gang to forget about Cacnea and retreat back to their turf! The whole gang started to run away with their leader.
"Kalem! You saved me again. Thanks!" Elly smiled and hugged my legs.
"No problem Elly, I saw your battle with that fierce Cacturne! You'll be an awesome trainer one day." I quoted.
<Treecko!>The Pokemon climbed my arm and hugged it.
"Hey Treecko! Thanks for protecting Elly." I greeted and returned Treecko to his Pokeball.
"Oh that's right! Treecko learned bullet seed!"Elly recalled.
"Really? That's great news Elly! Now... Let's go back to your dad. He might get worried you know?" I suggested.
"Alright Cacnea! Thanks for playing with us!" Elly knelt at the short Cacnea.
<Cacnea Cac!>The Pokemon smiled at Elly and hugged her tight!
"I'll miss you Cacnea! Don't forget me ok?" Elly begged as tears fell off from her eyes.
<Cac Cac!> The Pokemon nodded and smiled for the last time.
"Alright Elly, it's time to go!" I instructed.
We walked back to our friends and Mr. Florence. Elly told me everything about Treecko and her new friend Cacnea. Thanks to Elly, Treecko now learned Bullet Seed which could help me defeat his father. We were able to arrive safe and sound! Elly seems to be happy after playing with Cacnea. Maybe when Elly becomes a trainer she'll come back to Cacnea to ask it to join her team, who knows?
It's time to continue our adventure through the desert, but the question still remains... What does Mr.Florence specialize in? The answer's to come as the journey continues!
"Silvent City! Here we come!" Me and Riolu uttered and beamed with high determination!
