Bab 18: EPISODE 18: Visioning the Truth!
"So Kalem, Do you accept my challenge?" Zhery queried as they challenged me and Zorua to a battle against her and Eevee.
"Accept the challenge Kalem, in this way both Zorua and Eevee could train and become stronger!" Glade suggested.
"Alright... But we'll use two Pokèmon each!" I bargained unto Zhery. I figured out that since both of us have two Pokèmons each, why not train them both?
"If that's what you want, then fine!" Zhery agreed to the deal.
"If that's the case, then I accept your challenge!" I exclaimed with confidence
"Guess me and Luxio are referees then!" Glade volunteered.
We decided to battle at the backyard of the orphanage, the battle stadium was too crowded with people training with their Pokèmon.
"The match against Zhery and Kalem is about to begin! Each trainer shall use two Pokèmons! Substitution is allowed. Either side, please choose your first Pokèmon!" Glade announced.
"Riolu, let's show them what we got!" I called over Riolu to battle first.
"Eevee! It's our first time battling together so let's make this one memorable!"
"Battle Begin!"
From the headmaster's office... Ms. Beatrice, holding a cup of coffee... Looked out from the window as she watched our battle.
"Eevee use tackle!"
"Riolu dodge that then use metal claw!"
*Eevee's tackle missed!*
*Riolu's metal claw attacked Eevee!*
Eevee!!!
"Oh no Eevee! Are you alright?"
Eev! Eev!
"Great! Now use tackle once more Eevee!"
"Riolu dodge then metal claw!"
"Eevee stop the tackle then use bite on Riolu's arm!"
"Amazing, Eevee and Zhery are in sync even though they have just met!" Glade observed.
"Now toss Riolu up to the sky!"
*Eevee tosses Riolu*
"Riolu use Karate chop on the ground!"
"Kalem has awesome strategies as well, who could have thought to do that?" Glade observed.
*The battleground was covered with dust*
"Keep your eyes peeled Eevee!"
"Riolu listen for footsteps, then use quick attack once you figure out where Eevee is!"
Riolu closed his eyes and listened to the surroundings carefully.
Eee! Riolu heard a small glimpse of Eevee's voice towards the East, then rushed towards Eevee with a quick attack!
Eeveeeee!!!
"What? But how did Kalem's Riolu see Eevee in the dust?" Zhery puzzled in her mind.
"Eevee is unable to battle! Zhery, please choose your second Pokèmon!"
"Thanks for battling hard Eevee! Now you take a good rest in your Pokèball."
"Roselia! Shine and Shimmer!" Zhery sent out her last Pokèmon Roselia!
"The battle may now continue!" Glade proclaimed.
"Riolu use quick attack!"
"Roselia use razor leaf!"
*Riolu blasts off because of Razor leaf*
"Offense is the best defence!" Zhery enunciated.
"Riolu can still battle! Riolu use Karate Chop!"
"Roselia use razor leaf again!"
*Riolu blasts offed again!*
Rio!!!
"Oh no Riolu!"
"Riolu is unable to battle! Kalem, please choose your second Pokèmon" Glade proclaimed.
"Riolu take a long break! Zorua time to get into the battlefield!"

"Zorua use tackle!"
"Roselia use Razor leaf to counter again!"
"Zorua move in a zig-zag formation!"
*Razor leaf was dodged.*
*Tackle damaged Roselia!*
"Roselia use petal storm!"
"Zorua use run in a zig-zag direction then use scratch!"
*Zorua dodged Petal storm*
*Roselia was hurt by scratch!*
"Try dodging this Kalem! Roselia use leaf storm!"
"Oh no Zorua!"
*Zorua took a lot of damage from leaf storm!*
"Zorua can you still battle?"
"I can Kalem!"
"Alright then, Zorua use tackle!"
"Roselia use leaf storm!"
*Zorua blasts off!*
"Oh no Zorua!"
"Zorua is unable to battle, the victor is Zhery and her Pokèmon!" Glade exclaimed.
"You did great Zorua, now you take a long nap with Riolu!" I complemented Zorua for her amazing battling skills even though I lost.
The headmaster sipped from her mug and went on with her business after observing our battle from her office.
"You have great battling skills Zhery!"
"Thank you Kalem but it was Eevee and Roselia who did all the work, I just commanded them!" Zhery exulted.
I went back to my room to take an afternoon nap. I was tired of the battle I had with Zhery and her Pokèmon. Riolu didn't want me to sleep because Riolu is too energetic.
"Don't sleep Kalem! I want to play! Or we can practice our Z-move right?"
"Later Riolu, I want to sleep... My body is so tired from the hot bubbling heat of the sun!" I said groggily as Riolu tried to wake me up.
In the meantime Zorua was walking in circles around the mattress, it was like something was bothering Zorua's mind.
"Hey Zorua! Can you help me wake up Kalem!?" Riolu pleaded.
"Just let him sleep Riolu!"
"Why do you look like your being bothered or something?" Riolu puzzled.
"Nothing's wrong Riolu..." Zorua replied shortly.
"You, walking around in circles? It's obvious to me something's wrong." Riolu hunched.
"What's bothering you Zorua?"
"You are!" Zorua teased and laughed.
Riolu got tired trying to wake me up, he gave up and decided to sleep beside me. On the other hand, Zorua was still circling the mattress.
"Stop calling my name!" Zorua said to her mind.
Zorua... Zorua... A voice called. A voice that only Zorua could hear.
"Stop calling my name! Show yourself if you want to talk!" Zorua shouted on her mind. She was afraid to wake me and Riolu up from our sleepy slumber.
Zorua... Zorua... The voice called again. The voice that only Zorua could hear!
A minute later, Zorua became confused, it dropped death all of a sudden... She closed her eyes, slowly and steadily.
Zorua... Zorua... The voice called.
Zorua woke up, but wasn't familiar with the place.
Zorua... Zorua... The voice called again.
At this point, Zorua was getting traumatized by the voice... She doesn't know where she was. All she saw was darkness and shadows.
"Sh... Show yourself! This isn't funny!" Zorua shivered.
"Riolu! Kalem! Where are you!" Zorua cried! As she began to walk around the darkness and shadows she woke up in.
Zorua... Zorua... the voice called once more.
"Show yourself I said!" Zorua shouted in fear.
"No need to be afraid my little darling..." The voice comforted Zorua.
"W... Where am I? And... What did you do to Kalem and Riolu?" Zorua puzzled.
"Kalem and Riolu are fine..." The voice spoke with a shadowy and scary echo.
"Welcome to my mind Zorua!" The voice introduced.
"Y... Your mind? Who are you! Please, I don't want to stay in your mind anymore." Zorua said with fear.
"Your here for a reason Zorua..." The voice echoed in shadows.
"Wh... What reason?" Zorua asked.
"The prophecy... He is coming! He is coming!" The voice echoed in shadows and darkness.
"Wh... Who's coming?" Zorua asked.
Then from above 7 golden rings circled Zorua, slowly these rings descended around Zorua.
The rings started to show 7 scenarios that Zorua wasn't familiar with.
"What gobbledygook is this?" Zorua questioned.
"The judgment prophecy is about to unfold..." The voice explained.
"Wh... what is the judgment prophecy?" Zorua asked.
"Its the end... The end of the Pokèmon world, the day that darkness sought revenge against the light. The day the beast which distorts the world is unleashed." The voice explained.
"What are you talking about? What darkness, what light?" Zorua puzzled.
"The fallen Pokemon God shall take its revenge. There is only one way to stop it Zorua, and that way is through you."
"Through me?"
"You think you hatched from the egg just to be that boring boy's Pokèmon?"
"Kalem is not boring!"
"Whatever... The point is, once you're done with your mission... You belong to me and you will obey whatever command I cast upon you" The voice shouted.
"I... I am Kalem's Pokemon!"
"Kalem borrowed you! I sent you to Kalem for a reason, you will force him to go on a journey!" The voice shouted again.
"Wh... What journey?"
"A journey to find his lost parents-"
"You think that I'll believe you? Kalem's parents are dead!" Zorua provoked the voice.
"I know what Kalem thinks. What he knows is that his parents are dead. But I'll tell you something that Kalem does not know... Kalem's parents are alive!" The voice debunked.
"No, it can't be! No one could survive the Silver Heart Incident!"
"Except for the ones who did it..." The voice added.
"What are you trying to explain?"
"He'll know soon... But for now, I want you to show him this!" The voice lifted up one ring and showed Zorua what was inside, a vision of truth!
"Show this to the boy! Lead him out of the orphanage, make him travel overseas and oceans! Over mountains and forests! Let the boy discover his own true potential!"
"And what about his friends?"
"I need a boy and his other friend, the girl? She can stay, but if she pursues and she is willing to join, let her come to Kalem's journey."
"I don't know if I can do that... I'm not a great persuader, do you really think that my trainer would believe the vision you showed me? If I showed it to him, do you think he'll believe me?"
"I know the boy... He will believe that. He is our only hope in saving the world."
"But where should I lead him to?"
"To the grand mountain of Alympus which is 8 cities away from here, but his father and mother can be found lurking in the cavern of the deep, four cities away from here."
"Al... Alright' Zorua said solemnly.
"I grant you the power of vision, ideals, and illusions. You shall be the wielder of my seven rings... Each containing a vision of truth. The first ring shall be activated later at night and there, you will grab Kalem show him the vision and lead him to a journey he'll never forget."
"I... I have a question?"
"What's that Zorua?"
"How could Kalem's parents be alive?"
"You'll know soon enough if the boy does not travel, the world dies... The Pokemons die... you die... And your trainer dies. Your mission, should you choose to accept?"
Zorua became speechless. She woke up all of a sudden with I and Riolu looking at her.
"Hey Zorua... Hey Zorua..." She heard my voice as her eyes started to become clearer and clearer.
"There you are! You had a long nap! Did you have good dreams?" I queried.
"Hey, Kalem, I feel a little dizzy" Zorua grunted.
"Dizzy? Let's bring you to Natallie, she knows what to do!" I suggested.
"Ok..." Zorua said solemnly.
As I carried her to Natallie, Zorua remembered her mission. She didn't like the mission, because she knew that once the prophecy was over, something bad would happen to her. Something that she and I won't like.
