Bab 237: Efforts would be futile

Based on the events that Yuan Xuelan understood, he would go against her words and march to Loupu against any better judgement. This Yuan Xuelan would have done the same for his Shijie, but he didn't know what he'd do if he already knew that his efforts would be futile. So he asked, "If I don't go to Loupu, what should I do instead?"

That was when she perked up, "Actually, there is something I wished to talk to you about." The smile on her lips was a little sly and lighthearted. She was purposely trying to change the topic, to veer it away from somber atmosphere.

It was cloudy outside, giving the impression of darkness when it was in fact midday. The air was damp with moisture and left it feeling a bit cold.
