The crowd parted and the red-horned demon had yet to take notice of the new developments. He brandished his large blade and slashed it forward with abandon.

Only this time, it did not clash with Chu Mirong's claws.

Instead, he was frozen in motion. A hunched over figure stood before him, draped in deep purples and washed-out greys. His hair was down, black with peppered white that fell over his face like a veil.

The giant butcher's knife was suspended in mid-air, locked into place by some unknown force. The atmosphere around it seemed to bend and warp, cushioning the blow. The horned demon's eyes went wide as he looked down at the slighter being beneath him. He tried to yank his blade out, it did not budge.

Instead the demon stumbled back, frightened and confused. "Y-Your Majesty Lordliness!! I-I didn't know you were--"
