The door slammed hard, against its frame, vibrating from the force that came with it.

Astrid ran inside, dashing for her bed in full force and hugging it as streams and streams of tears flowed down her cheeks.

Ever since her argument with her mother all her poor heart could handle was the sickening pain of being torn from Blade just because of her mother's hate.

She tried to think back carefully to ways and days being without him and not having to spend her life with this boy.

There was no way she could see past anything.

Her morning had been ruined and she was broken. She wished to rush into his arms and remain there until her mother would finally agree to her words and permit their marriage.

Several minutes passed and soon two hours has elapsed since her initial fight with her mother.
