I don't know how long I've been floating in this pit of darkness. A minute, an hour, could be a year. All I know is I don't like it. I feel like I'll lose my sanity if I stay here any longer.
Just as I was talking to myself like always something within the ever so-called darkness changed. What changed was light. It was so bright and warm. I didn't want to let that warm bright light go but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get closer. Or more like I didn't have to as the light came straight to me.
Kami" Mhh how peculiar how could such a beautiful and kind soul be in the lowest part of the void. Only the worst souls in the multiverse are supposed to be here. Honestly, what are those idiotic angles doing up there? Mhh, let me see this child's life.
After who knows how long of watching the soul's life including past lives.
Kami" PFT, hahaha, truly an a unique. Ha, when was the last time I remember laughing this hard. This child deserves a second chance but I must get his opinion first. "Hello, there little one."
Mc' Ahh, that light spoke. Umm hello, if it isn't so much ask but who are you.' He asked a bit cautiously.
Kami" I go by many names but you may know me as Kami. I was here checking up on things when I stumbled across you. I've seen your life so I ask would you like to go to heaven or would you like a second chance at life.
He was shocked. One because Kami was real. Two because kami is female and three because she was offering him a chance at life. He was confused and happy, but most of all determined.

Kami" It's my pleasure child. After living how many years and watching my creations sin time after time. To see a kind soul as yourself not succumb to sin but conquer it Is something I wish I could see more often. Now that you've chosen I can't very well leave my child defenceless so I'll give you a few gifts." She held out her hand and materialised 3 things. A cross-shaped shield, a Japanese katana and fox with 10 tails.
Kami" When your 5 years old you will know what these gifts of mine are capable of. Now it's time for you to go. This time have a better life."
Mc" Thank you kami sama. I'll pray to you every night." And with that, The soul disappeared from the void.
Kami" And I'll be listening like I do all my children."
Japan Unkown snowy mountain.
On a lone snowy mountain, we could see an old man tracking through the think snow with only a thin cloth draped around himself. And rather thin cloth-like footwear.
Old man" Sigh, I Swear if the cold doesn't kill me it will be the walk up and down that will." As the old man kept rambling about, he stopped just a moment later as he heard a sound two miles away from where he was. Within a blink of a second, the old man disappears and arrived at the location.
On the bed of the snow a basket with a child inside. What was strange was the snow around wasn't touching the child no it was like it was protecting him.
Old man" Mhh how peculiar. Who would leave a child all the way up here." He thought in wonder. Just as he stepped forward grab the child and bring him somewhere warmer is the moment everything around him stopped. As if time itself had paused. The falling snowflakes. The freezing wind the bustling of trees. He himself was frozen.
Before he could make out or make any sense of what was happening, his vision went blank. Tho slowly his vision started coming back and he was able to finally see. But once he could open his eyes He froze in place.
No not because of the cold but because of the beast, no...demon in front of him possibly 100 metres in height. It's appearance similar to a kitsune.
It had red-orange fur with black fur around its eyes that stretches to its ears, red irises with black slits for pupils and the upper-body structure of a human, complete with opposable thumbs on its clawed hands. What was more fascinating Tho was it's ten tails swinging back and forth in a rather playful yet deadly manner.
Kuruma" kekeke, I see now. To think the first thing the child will come across is an Desperado. Those who have reached there limit as blazers and forsake their humanity only to become a demon and break the chains in which BIND you to the fate of the world. The kids lucky it wasn't a crazy person that found him first. Well even if that did happen I would just slaughter them."
The old man could only thank the gods he wasn't deemed crazy.
Kuruma" What is your name, old man. I'm kuruma the 10 tailed demon fox and protector of the child you happen to come across."
Old man abe" F-Fumio Abe lord demond. I did not mean to bring any harm to the child I was j-just worried he would get cold and die so I was going to bring him to my home.
Kuruma" There's no need for you to be scared I can already tell you have a good heart and you only had good intentions for the child. Listen to me gumbo I do not have long left before I go into a deep slumber. Could I ask you to take care of this child and treat him like you would your own...He's lost a lot. And I was given the task to protect the child."
' Tho by the time he's 10 hed probably already be the strongest in this lower world. But the old man doesn't need to know that. Kekeke he'll find that out eventually.'
Old man abe' To take care of the child as if my own. Ahh, I am getting old. Plus I could pass on my sword arts to this child. If the giant demon fox is anything to go bye. This child is definitely special. Plus I'm sick of having all those idiots singing praises about there grandchildren.
Old man abe" I accept lord kuruma. I'll take care of this childlike he was my own flesh and blood."
Kuruma" Mhh, your word is good enough. I leave the child in your hands. Fumio abe."
With that said everything turned black once again. It took him a good few seconds to come back to himself. He looked around but this time there was no demon fox. Just the snow and child that magically appeared in his arms. He looked inside the blanket and saw a child with dark red turf of hair growing on top of his head skin almost as white as snow and eyes so blue and pure you would mistake them for fire glass purple.
Old man abe" Lord Kurama never told me your name so from now on ill name you...Eikichi, Eikichi abe grandson of Fumio abe.
And So the story of Eikichi abe, shilder of humanity begins.
