With a burst of blue light, he created a powerful explosion just in the nick of time and pushed away the water beam.
The resulting collision also blasted him away from the point of impact. He crashed onto a rock and fell on the ground but quickly stood up, ignoring the injury on his back.
It appeared that Myticetus got angrier by its failure to kill the intruder who disturbed its sleep and tried to destroy its home. It closed its eyes for a couple of seconds and then, conjured atleast half a dozen Ice spears, each of which was 10 inches thick and 10 ft big. That's really like overkill to kill a human. But, why would creatures think of logic in the first place? The results are more important.
Taking a deep breath, Neal waved his hand in something like a horizontal zig-zag movement before sharply raising its high.
"Pestis Incendium." He roared as the flying ice whale released all six ice spears at the same time.
The Basilisk wand produced enchanted flames of immense size and heat that were capable of destroying anything in its path.
Unlike in his third year, he mastered the spell and gained the complete loyalty of his Basilisk wand. Hence, the power of the spell was a lot higher than the time he used it at the cursed vault of ice.
Meanwhile, the flames took the shape of random gigantic fiery beasts such as serpents, chimeras, and dragons before destroying those ice spears and proceeding toward their target.
However, Neal wasn't finished yet. Before the cursed fire finish its job, he went on unleashing the ring of fire once again.
This time, it appeared to be relatively stable and he even managed to control the four beasts in black flames and target the ice whale that managed to block the flames with a giant water bubble over it.
Just what kind of magical creature is this? Neal was stunned by its powers. He had seen a lot of creatures but so far, the only thing that was mysterious to him is the thunderbird which can control the weather, and create rain and even lightning bolts.
But, this one is completely on a whole other level. Rather than calling this its powers, it looked as if the ice whale could perform wandless magic like the house elves.
Anyways, as he managed to master the spell because of the danger, he tried his best to control the movements of the four black flame beasts as if they were his puppets and surrounded the whale without attacking it.
Neal then bends down and picked up the Acacia wand and pointed its tip at his neck, unleashing the Sonorus charm to amplify his voice so that it reaches all the way to the whale.
"Myticetus, we don't intend to disturb your sleep. It is an accident, which happened due to my lack of control. How about we agree on a peaceful settlement? Give me a few days of time and I will restore the ice to this region. In return, I ask you to let my friends go peacefully. If not, we will fight to the death."
Neal doesn't know whether the beast could understand the human language. But, he was betting on the rumors he heard from his grandfather about how it can understand every language on earth.
Unfortunately for him, the only reply he received from the flying whale is the same high pitch squeak.
He doesn't know whether it is filled with anger or agreeing on peace. But, since it wasn't attacking, Neal took the opportunity to reach into his coat beneath the layers of winter clothes and took out a pouch that was identical to Oakley's.
As the ice whale continued to stare at Neal without minding the fire beasts around it, the latter took out his suitcase from the pouch that was enchanted with an extension charm.
He opened the suitcase and summoned Isle to the real world. And the instant that three-foot snake appeared in Neal's hand gloves, the flying whale let out another high pitch squeak, this time a bit more powerful.
As Neal shut his eyes in reflex, Isle let out a hiss. "She questions why a Leviathan's spawn is with you. Is she talking about me?"
"Eh? What did you say?"
Neal was taken aback after hearing out Isle's translation. He suddenly remembered the night he received the snake egg as a present from Newt Scamander.
Newt informed him that he acquired the egg from Greenland too.
Realizing that it perfectly made sense that an ancient being like Myticetus recognized Isle's species, he took this opportunity to investigate his favorite pet's background.
"Can you tell me more about Leviathan?" He asked.
Myticetus continuously squeaked in response.
Isle translated it for him using hissing, "She was telling that Leviathan was the world serpent, the strongest of the four lords of oceans and seas, atleast she used to be. The other three are herself (Myticetus), Kraken, and Cthulhu.
From the beginning of the times, Leviathan was too arrogant for her own good. She always tried to enter our territories and steal our food and didn't hesitate to battle us. None of us is a match for her in one on one. Hence, from time to time, we yield our food, thinking that the ocean is too big enough for us anyways.
And roughly about 4500 years ago, one powerful dark wizard visited me. He could not only speak the snake language but could understand even our languages too. That crooked wizard was in search of the source of magic.
Since we are beings who were born long before you humans existed, he sought my help. When I rejected, that damn crooked wizard attacked me. He was very powerful. I couldn't beat him.
He knocked me out unconscious, transporting me from the ocean nearby the land of snow (Antarctica) to this place and trapped me in this tiny lake. For thousands of years, I had to take long naps to stop myself from getting hungry. Because of the curse, I cannot leave this place either.
After me, he went after Leviathan. She was stronger and gave him a tough fight. He was forced to flee for his life but Leviathan succumbed to a curse where she can only stay awake for one breath of time in a whole year.
Perhaps, it is because the curse faded over time for her. Years ago, when I met her again, Leviathan informed me that she could manage to stay awake for one day.
I don't know how you acquire Leviathan's spawn but human, I will advise you to either abandon the serpent or never come to the waters and stay in mountains. Leviathan can lay only one egg every 1000 years and every time it hatches, the spawn dies as it cannot hold enormous magical power.
During the past million years, I have only seen five times the eggs were hatched successfully.
Judging by its size, this one seemed like a baby. So, no matter what you say, if leviathan or her other children knew that a human possessed its spawn, then, you will be hunted down."
