Bab 45: Disgusting Zuan
Mo Kio went inside and sat down. Yuan Zuan came in after instructing the maid to bring some food. As she came, Mo Kio noticed that she had dressed herself up. She wore a short-sleeved jet black dress which ended just above her knees. She had left her long hair open and put heavy make-up on her face. She came and sat too close to Mo Kio.
She said, "I assume that you also have been stabbed in the back by Yu Chen, just like me."
Mo Kio let out a sneer and asked, "You said something related to paying her back, how are you gonna ng to do that?"
Yuan Zuan: "Sure I will tell you. But for that we are going to have to go up to my room." She stood up and motioned Mo Kio to follow her.
Mo Kio raised an eyebrow but still followed her. She went towards a room and went in. Just as Mo Kio entered, he felt something heavy fall on him. He steadied himself, caught it and noticed that Yuan Zuan had basically jumped on him. She said, "Oh Kio, you are so handsome, what do you even see more in that stupid Chen?" Mo Kio made her stand properly and said, "If this is all you wanted to say, I'll be going now." Yuan Zuan grabbed hold of his arm and said, "Okay. I'll tell you about my plan, but what will I get in return."
Mo Kio ran his hands through his jet black hair and raised an eyebrow. Yuan Zuan continued, "In exchange for helping you, I want to be your girlfriend." Mo Kio almost spat in Yuan Zuan's face. How could a person be so shameless and stoop so low. He suppressed his anger and said, "I will decide that after hearing your plan." Yuan Zuan nodded and told him about how she had entered the competition under Yu Chen's team name. She said, "Of course I don't have a code but you will be able to help me with that. Won't you?"
Mo Kio thundered, "The competition is the day after tomorrow. I am no magician." (At this point, Mo Kio could be given an Oscar for his acting.)
Yuan Zuan: "But you were in Chen's team, you must surely know about her code. And all those engineers at your dad's company, if you put them to work, I'm pretty sure you can whip up a nice code."
Mo Kio got up without a word and began to leave. But Yuan Zuan again threw herself saying, "So this means you agree to my plan and I am your girlfriend from now." And then she kissed him.
It took Mo Kio some time to understand what happened, then he threw Yuan Zuan off himself, and left the mansion without another word.
He was completely and utterly disgusted as he rode his bike to his house and ran to the bathroom to take a shower and brush his teeth. He felt a little better when he came out and was just about to call Chen when his phone rang.
