Bab 24: CHAPTER 24: PUPPY LOVE?

We hang out for a couple of hours before he sends me back to my dorm. I saw my roommate and best friend in college Megan as I opened the door.
"Hey, stranger, you missed the party." I said in irritated tone.
"Yeah, I am so sorry Shy. Mickey came late when we got there you were nowhere to be found." She defended herself. "But I heard from Royce about what happen last night. And I am so sorry about that." Her worried eyes were staring at me.
"It's okay, Megs. Got it cover just in time and I was glad they were there on time." Giving her a small smile.
"On the other side, Royce told me something else." She grinned with a sweet tone. "Tell me about him."
I shook my head and took off my dirty clothes then toss it to my laundry basket. I opened my closed to get a new one.
"There is nothing to talk about it. We are just friends from my hometown." I told her.
It is true we are just friends. Last night was just coincidence we met at the right time. Whatever happened it was just passing.
Today's plan was unexpected. He is a very busy person. And I do not want to expect more from him. Maybe he already has girlfriend. We never mentioned about personal matters while we were together. So, really, I should not think anything more of him.
"Okay, okay, okay. You know I am always here. To listen if you want to talk or share about him." She said and hugged me.
I shrugged. "I know, friend, I know. You are always there for me." I replied then she released me and went for a shower.
The rest of the night I could not sleep. I turned my head to Megan's bed she was already sleeping. I could not fall asleep because my mind was occupied.
It is not something about but with someone. Yeah, after Zander dropped me off and even exchanged number but never mention other things.
I did not even ask about personal stuff. Has he found someone? Is he married? Maybe he is married or have girlfriend. What is wrong with you Shayla? Married? Really! Finn is not the type of person will settle down early. Maybe girlfriend, yes, possible.
What happened to us was just sex accidentally because I was drugged. He rescued me from it. I heavily sighed then hugged the purple stuff toy he gave me.
Yes, I always brought it with me wherever I am since he left our hometown and then I came here away from home. Of course, it should be next to me in my bed hugging it at night.
I moved on and graduated from high school. And here I am almost surviving. And irregular graduating student in college.
I have been in a relationship but always ended in a short-term relationship. Just last year broken up with my third boyfriend so basically, I moved on from Zander.
We never had relationship back then. So, definitely we are just flinging before so I moved on, I move on, right? I do not secretly love him anymore now or in the future because he is married. Is he? I rolled my eyes for my stupid thinking.
It was just puppy love in my high school so there is no love at all. Puppy Love...? No, I do not love him before or even now. It was just puppy love... P-U-P-P-Y L-O-V-E

I closed my eyes and erased my thoughts about him. I do not love him anymore and I should stop whatever it is I feel about him. It should not be awakened because what we have was just sex.
I woke up late because I slept late. First thing I did was to checked my phone. No text from Finn.
Well, I should not really expect anything from him. Our lives are different now or even before. There is no chance for us not before, not now of course not ever.
I was too tired to get up. I do not have classes today because it is Sunday. Megan's was neatly clean. She must be attending their church mass.
I need to buy some groceries and my other needs. I do not have time for it because I have work and school at the same time.
Yes, I am working student as well. Even my parents paid my school expenses and giving me allowance. I still need to work because I have plans.
I want to open my own business. Besides, I do not want to stay in my dorm during my spare time. My classes are broken.
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays my classes were all in the morning.
Tuesdays, Thursdays were all in the afternoon.
I have long hours before my next subjects or even no classes half a day. So, I have to work to earn and my time will be worth it.
My job won't affect my studies. I do not have to worry I still have time to study.
I cleaned my bed before going to the bathroom. I will go out after shower. Going to the supermarket after breakfast.
Maybe I will just go some restaurant or fast foods once I decided what to eat. I need to do it quick I am so starving.
I was in front of Burgers & Fries House. It was not crowded so I go inside. I sat the same table with I was with Finn.
The waitress came to serve me.
"Hello, it's so nice to see you again." She greeted.
"Oh! Yeah, it's you again to serve me." I smiled. She was looking around.
"Where is your boyfriend? I did not see him come in." She asked.
"Oh! We are just friends. I came alone." I told her frankly.
"Well, you may be friends for now but one day you two will going to end up together." She said honestly. "What do you want to order?"
"Huh! Impossible! But I guess you light up my day." I laughed. "Anyway, give me the same order."
"Coming right up." She smiled. "You two looks so good together." She added before leaving.
